Thank god this is over.

I really do like basketball.

My father, despite being only about five seven was always a great player (at 61, he still can't miss a three), ans basketball (the knicks) were always on TV as a kid growing up.  I think I like the knicks more for the nostalgia than anything, but regardless, I like them.

being five nine, hockey was always my sport over basketball, but I have always loved the short guards like Jameer Nelson, Allen Iverson, Chris Paul,  Nate Robinson, Mugsy Bougs, and even named my older son Jackson, after Mark Jackson.*

*I really didn't do this, but I tell people I did just to see the shock on their face. **

**I also tell people I named the younger one Declan, after Elvis Costello (aka Declan McManus), but this isn't true either and makes my wife annoyed when I tell people this. (or, actually, maybe it IS true, and I told her it wasn't true in order to get the name...)

The Chris Paul trade to the Clippers is off, just like the Chris Paul trade to the Lakers is off, just like the Chris Paul trade to the Knicks didn't happen.

Basically, the only team not rumoured to be trading for Chris Paul are the Worcester Wolves

http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/7345461/new-orleans-hornets-chris-paul-los-angeles-clippers-trade-dies-price-too-high-sources-say

I expect that CP3 P.O.'d with all this

Well............... the CP3 trade to the Clippers went thro' after all.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/page/cp3deal-111215/these-not-same-los-angeles-clippers-anymore

The combination of Blake Griffin and Chris Paul should be exciting to watch and certainly give an aging Lakers team something to worry about. Maybe even pushing the latter to go out and get Dwight Howard.

Saw the Knicks/Raptors game in a bar in Brooklyn, Lin was incredible again.

8 Presidents of the US have been Harvard grads, only 5 Harvard grads have ever made it to the NBA.

The Knicks won their 7th straight.

Remember, they're doing this without Carmelo Anthony. Although he's a star player, they're a far better team without him.

In fact, the Nuggets are also a better team since they traded 'Melo to New York.

As for Lin-sanity........... that three he knocked down at the buzzer to beat the Raptors showed the composure you'd expect from a Harvard man and some serious cojones to let the clock run down that far.

Jeremy Lin is the most exciting thing in sports to come out of this area since as far back as I can remember.

It's really been a lot of fun to live in the New York area over the last few weeks.

The amount of bootleg Jeremy Lin shirts and signs for games is LINSANE.

Major upsets in the early rounds of the NCAAs. I watched the end of Norfolk States surprising win over Mizzou and then woke up this morning to the great news that Duke had been dumped out by Lehigh......................... Hopefully that'll shut up the obnoxious Dick Vitale for a few minutes at least.

D-Rose has torn his ACL and is out of the play-offs and the Olympics. That could be Chicago's title hopes gone.
