I can't believe that people give Twattum the air of publicity.

There are how many Villa rejects at the Sty?

sent a email to Tattum and copied in his boss - what he has reported is utter bullshit and his jibes about villa on a forum are a form of insightment which someone in his position shouldnt do - he's meant to be impartial for gods sake

Is he?

Does it really matter if he isn't? It's not like he's Secretary General of the UN. Who gives a toss how partial he is or isn't.

i would hope tht a reporte at a birmingham paper would take an impartial view on birmingham clubs instead of further insighting the hatred that is already there and then backing up on a nose forum - its unprofessional

I AM A FUCKING LIAR

by Colon Twattum.
Our man at the Blose who used to be a Man Utd fan.

Ner ner ner ner ner!
It was revealed today by Milan Calorgas, agent of giant super tall mega skyscraper giant giraffe taller than crouch and the Burj Khalifa, Nikola "girls name" Zig-a-zig-ahhhh that his client refused to do business with anybody else, including hated local rivals Aston Villa boo hiss!
There is no actual logical reason for this and it makes no practical sense from any point of view but trust me, he had his heart set on the super 8 page pull out super blose and not even Man City could sway him.

"Its true" lied Calorgas, "Nikola (real name sharon) heard of the interest from Aston Villa and he put his fingers in his ears and started singing loudly. He insisted on getting Mr Big eck around immediately so he could not be tempted to sign for a big team playing European football for more money. We also heard of very serious interest from Man City who were trying to sell Adebayor to raise the cash to buy Sharon but we couldn't wait, we had to get this deal done and dusted three months before the season starts. We couldnt wait any longer."

When confronted by probable Vile-ist propaganda gangsters with evil agendas and the lies of Zionist North (East, West and South) Birmingham pigdogs who asked if this was just because the player, after being touted around for years, couldn't get a better deal than lowly Birmingham, Calorgas stated; "No, this is categorically untrue. Sharon would not listen to much, much bigger, more prestigious clubs paying more money and playing a higher standard of competition.
As soon as he heard 'our league' champions Blose were interested in him, it was an easy decision. Unless he killed himeslf of course or did something else for a living."

The capture of Zigic, who if you stand two double decker buses on top of eachother stands about 48% as tall as a double decker bus and can actually touch the bit above the doors near the ticket office, about as tall as a camel, will signal yet another power shift across the city. Alright, its a power shift that has never happened and never will, but nevertheless, this made up rubbish will make the posh neighbours sweat a bit. By signing players not good enough for Villa and indeed, players Villa have willingly punted to them for a song, Blose are making a big play for bragging rights in the second city. All they need to do now is actually do something and stop dreaming. But they've caught O'Neill with his pants down as he's on holiday in a place with no phones or communication and despite Villa sending a begging emmisary to meet with Zigic, he banished him from his presence and had him scourged for good measure.
Yeah, so there.

As Zigic, who played Lurch in the Addams family, had a photo opportunity with next years "who the fuck makes this shirt again?" Blose shirt, we asked about what treats lie in store for the Blose faithful (about 6,000). "I will slightly better than Crouch because I slightly taller, yes?".

It is thought that Big Eck, armed with a massive transfer Warchest, will wheel a barrow up and down the nation asking for clubs to bring out their unwanted players. Stand by for one whirlwind summer of transfer delight from the Midands 9th biggest club.
And dont miss tomorrows centre page pullout Mail exclusive as we give you a life size representation of one of Sharon Zigic's feet.

When contacted for further comment a spokesperson from Aston Villa laughed us out of the car park and a representaive of Man City's eyes glazed over as somebody had to remind him who Birmingham City and Nikola Zigic were.

If it sells papers and gets you all talking about the Mail then he's achieved his aims hasn't he.

Think about it, all he's doing is writing something, which he will be under pressure to produce.

If 75% of it is bollocks then it doesn't matter.

As for what he does in his private life then that shouldn't be of concern to anyone else, just because he writes a sports section doesn't mean he shouldn't write a blog which is biased, or post on message boards, nor should he stop writing slanted stories.

Yes, he should be making an effort to give equal weight to things, but it's all about the news values, and let's face it - those of us in claret and blue know he's biased, and those in blue probably do too.

It'd be worse if he was hiding it and trying to write unbiasedly about it all but failing miserably.

*disclaimer - i'm a trainee journo, so am always going to defend him because one day that could be me, and i wouldn't be allowed on here.

On the topic of Zigic/Foster,

Zigic is supposedly good, and i think he might be a threat. I'd say he's probably an OK signing.

As for Foster I agree with the Carson comparison, he's had good games, but seems to flap and flounder when the pressure is really on.

I do think we should perhaps stop talking about zigic being a good signing for THEM, and being poor if it was for us. We hardly score goals for one, and also, they weren't that far behind us for a lot of the season (say it quietly in public though), so we aren't miles ahead of them - and it pains me to say that.

Also, if they spend and we just replace, we will find it tougher - although we are still better than them and should win.

McCleish has done a good job, which also pains me.

Because it gives you just one more thing to complain about?

Have we put the 'MON never even considers foreign players' drum away for now and the 'there's a foreign player who I don't like therefore he must have been interested' drum been brought out instead?

Actually no it wasn't the thread I was after.

This refers to a specific article.

Mine refers to a campaign to reach a wider audience in the hope that buying and surfing of the paper concerned will reduce.  Therefore a new thread was necessary in my view.

For some reason, the moderators have a problem with me launching a new thread.  I would like to see my record of such posts in the last 12 months.  I think you will find it is much lower than most 'regulars'.

I'm surprised so many people are getting so annoyed by this

It is clearly the Mail trying desperately to drum up some interest in what is now a slightly pointless publication.

If Blues get excited about this, leave them to it.

We're far too big to be getting wound up by the likes of them.

Today's Mail "Exclusive"

BOWYER : I TURNED DOWN REAL

The football World was reeling last night from the sensational news that midfield legend Lee Bowyer had turned down Real Madrid to stay with the Champions-elect what have the name of the city in their names and make all Villa fans jealous.

His agent, Adolf Kalashnikov, revealed exclusively to our man in the bogs Colin Tattum "Lee was approached by a number of clubs, including Aston Villa, Leeds Rhinos, Aston Villa (God I hate them) and Real Madrid. He has always had a soft spot for Real, especially when he noticed that their fans like to boo non-white players and were happy to employ fellow BNP supporter Jonathan Woodgate".

However it seems that Alex McLeish's ambitions for Theybreakyourearts City have swayed the combative midfield battler. With the pride of the Second City (yeah, second city - take that, Manchester!) finishing in the top half for the first time since 1913 last season it seems inevitable that Champions League football beckons within the next seventy-eighty years.

This is the latest blow to supposed "rivals" Aston Villa who are still reeling from their failure to sign a taller player than John Carew, their embarassing defeat in the 1963 League Cup Final and their inability to have the name of the city in their names.
