I wonder if something got lost in translation here, I could understand if Zigic begged us to speak to him. Unlucky, he had to sign for blues instead.

He's an alright player from what i've seen of him, I don't think he'll be a flop but he's not going to score 20+ goals a season. Expect blues' long passes statistic to go through the roof next season.

He's down there as 'tatts'.

The issue is not the quality of signings made by the Blues, but the fact that they can't do anything without letting their petty jealousy rise to the surface.

If I was editor at the Mail, I'd test Tattums ability as a journalist by making him cover Villa for a season.

I think we'd have to put some paper down in the press box first.

So because the agent says thats what happened it must be true then!!!!
What a pillock.
Does anyone really believe that had we been that keen on him, we wouldnt have made a firm bid by now. Its just typical bullshit lazy journalism with no foundation, if those idiots down the road want to believe it, then let them.
As for Foster, he was a promising keeper at Watford when on loan, but he had a lot of practice at shot stopping. If Fergie rated him then he wouldnt have let him go, the fact he rates Kusack higher says a lot tbh.
I seem to remember Zigic struggled badly at Valencia, and they made CL.
Although he did seem to score at Red Star, but didnt Bosco Balaban score a lot in his domestic league ;-)

well with MON's reputation if its not true, he'll find himself getting sued. Tend to think it follows the manager's m.o. and all i can say is thank f*ck he was on holiday.

When you have watched football for a long time, you learn never to predict with certainty how any player will do anywhere. Staggers me to think that anyone is certain that Foster and Zigic are going to be top players for them in such an unequivocal way...

They have signed a quality young (mid 20s is young) england keeper and a very good international giant who was rumoured to be on our wanted list.

If they were any good they wouldn't have gone to where they have gone.

If Foster was that good, why sell him?

If this striker was wanted by Man City, why didn't they sign him? Not enough money?!?!?

Exactly, for Ben Foster read Scott Carson. Young keeper, lauded at an early age who then struggles to impress when the pressure is on. He might turn out to be a good keeper in time but, as mentioned by Ryu, it's a step back from where they were last season.

Zigic again might be a great signing but the experiences of players such as Kezman and Rebrov show that it is by no means a certainty.

Before meeting with Blose rep's agent tells Zigic

"We'll tell the daft bastards that Man City spoke to us before we left, this will confirm to them that your a good footballer & they'll offer £40k / week. Then we'll hit them with the news that Villa want to speak to you with the same offer. They'll shit themselves to get one over the Villa & will up the offer to £50k / week."

Blose rep's to agent after agreeing to pay £50k, "When you talk to the local media, make sure to tell them that you signed for us instead of the Villa".

Let them have their moment, it means that much to them. Even if it isn't true.

They'll probably stick Twattum's article in the trophy cabinet, alongside a few dog-eared battered Sports Argus copies chronicling the few occasions they have beaten us in years gone by.

Joke outfit, but we wouldn't want it any other way.

Its an alright signing. He had a good year last time around, but has been woeful for Valencia. Who knows how he’ll do at SHA with the service they provide.

"Tatts" has posted on the Blues board.............

Morning all

No, no-one in the Villa camp has irked me recently.......

Just writing a story based accurately on what the player's agent says. He, indeed, is pretty loose, but that's often the way.

Think it has upset a few across the road...ho hum

Trouble is, not many people have a sense of humour nowadays and can't see the wood for the trees.

Anyway, I hope it's sunny wherever MON is

And another thing, Nicola doesn't wear big headphones and is dead passionate.  You should have seen what she did to the referee the night that Barca got awarded that penalty.
