Yes, I was on leave from the army and I couldnt get tickets for our last game of the season away to Everton so I went to the Sty.  Blues needed to win to get promotion against someone but the opponents scored and so the 'Zulus' from the Tilton corner flag staged the first of many pitch invasions to try and cancel the game.

I thought I was on my own until about two thousand voices from the back of the tilton started up with 'Shit on the City' to lots of coats being removed to reveal villa shirts.  Oh the Eightees.  We bossed them that day in thier own back yard whilst the other half of us were up in Liverpool.

You crack me up, Zakk.

Oh I forgot, I think I still have a lifetime ban at the Sty for shouting 'animals, bastards' at Robert Hopkins. I got arrested and thrown into a van after 10 minutes of a Blues v Villa gane, was given a lifetime ban by the copper on caution but walked around to the Tilton and watched the last 15 minutes, we won 3-1, the eightees....they were great!!

Seems there were a few of us at the Leeds game. The shit of Birmingham, indeed they were, that day. Been to a fair few. Remember Gary Crosby ripping them apart for Forest, and Captain Dislocatedshoulder netting against them in the cup, which, I think, came in Fergie-time before it had been invented. Horrible place. "Watch yer back, mate" as the bloke behind takes a piss. That shitting stupid massive "clock". Putting up the half-times on those numbered pegs when the rest of the world had invented electricity and the PA, always putting us 9-0 down.
As an aside, a non-footballing mate went to that massive woolworth's that used to be over there. Took his lad, probably about six at the time.
"Dad, after we've finished in here, are we going to B&Q?"
"No. Why would we be going to B&Q?"
"Cos I always like it when we go there, and there's a massive one next door." Bless him.

Been there with the reserves and youth a few times if that counts.

Every single time have stood out like Rosa Parks on a bus. Even had abuse off the bloke on the turnstile before, no colours or anything, must be the unprecedented level of personal hygiene we bring to the place..

Once in the eighties when they played Forest and a day in a box about a decade ago when they played Walsall.

Both were wretched experiences.

Yeah loads in the 80s as a teenage new romantic / dresser / football casual.
Me mates were 70% villa 30% noses so we alternated each week between b6 and the sty, most memorable was 86 the Leeds riot, what a day that was. Recall them beating ManUre 1-0 same year I think. Always felt a bit dirty going there but as mates we all stuck together week in week out including reserve games.

Occasional me and my mate (Nose) used to exchange games on alternate seasons in the mid 1990s.
Last time went with him to watch that lot v Tranmere because Shaun Teale was playing for them. Can't remember whether it was 1-0 to them or 1-1.
Tealey won practically every header v Kevin Francis despite being about 9 inches shorter.
Was in the old Railway end - what a shit hole.

Yes, just once on New Year's Eve 1977, Blues 4 Chelsea 5. Went with my boss at the time who was a Chelsea fan and we sat amongst the Blues fans. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!!

I almost went to a pre-season "friendly" when they played Celtic in the mid-90's. I met a mate in Digbeth for a few beers early doors (big mistake) as we ended up in the Old Wharf which was full of hoops. We were paid a visit by a sizeable firm of Zulus who subsequently smashed the windows and hurled CS gas in to the bar - really brave as there were women and kids in there. This was followed by several running battles en route to the sty by which time I decided enough was enough and buggered off home.

No.

That will change if they're in the same division as Walsall which could happen in a year or two.

I often just used to go in their away and support whoever they were playing against such was my loathing for them in my youth. Remember joining in with play up pompey during Alan Balls reign after a 1~0 at the sty.

It's odd how they could always spot us. Had to get off the 50 because of that "gift" a little earlier than planned on a couple of occasions

I've just remembered going with a mate who had a spare ticket for a meaningless mid table game towards the end of Barry Fry's last season. It was against Luton. My mate had a fiver on Blues to win 3-0 and everything was going great for him until they got a very late fourth. We were the only two in the stand who didn't cheer. For different reasons obviously.
