A mental match... but we should win.

Has anyone attended any of the days as the scores have been so low I wonder if we might get points deducted for a bad pitch.

I've not been but if the pitch inspectors were going to attend they'd have been at Edgbaston on day 2. They only attend when prompted to do so by an umpire's report. The umpires must be happy with the pitch so as usual it's inept batting by both sides.

Pity we only have 1 match left (I think we've played 15 now). At least we've made the table look a bit more respectable even if we are relegated.

You Beeaaars!

I think that's relegation worries over and done with and a top half finish now a possibilty.

When you consider that we've drawn one game all season and have accumulated the lowest batting bonus points and highest bowling bonus points in both divisions (before the lastest round of matches) you realise that the addition of one decent batsman could turn this side into title-winners.

The top order cannot possibly mis-fire again can it? The bowlers have been wonderful, not least over the last few weeks when tail end runs seems to have saved our bacon.

Agreed, we're also top of the Pro40 group and will clinch it with a win on Saturday and won our T20 group.

I think it will take more than one batsman to make that team a title winning one.

A decent batsman of the highest calibre and a new captain.

Should be safe now. If Kent beat Hampshire we could still be in trouble but even if they do that would leave Hampshire in the shit and would mean they and Kent would both need to win their last matches.

Hampshire's last match is against us so anything bar a defeat should do, as only two go down.

EDIT: unless Hanst pull off an unlikely win against Lancs tomorrow, then we might have to beat them to be safe.
