The rain is set for the day now so we only need it to keep going for another 24 hours and we'll escape with another undeserved draw.

Something is very, very wrong.
I'm going to the 20/20 next Sunday with a mate from Lancashire, I'm expecting a humiliating afternoon.

It is but not in the one day game Chris if you check the results so far - however major changes are needed at the club starting with the coach and captain.

True, although we were hammered by Hants in the Pro40 the other week.

The Bears seem to have turned the corner in the one-day game. For several years our one-day form has been poor, with not much to shout about. Now we seem to have improved beyond recognition.

Woakes return last night of 4-1-9-1 was astonishing in 20/20 cricket. He bowled 18 dot balls.

Such a pity that this resurgence has coincided with a slump in 4-day form.

Worcs v Notts on Sky at 5.30 today. We've been dreadful at T20 in the past but there are signs that, like England, we've finally learnt how to play the short game.

Warwickshire have been excellent at limited overs cricket and awful at first class cricket this season.

Still don't know why we can't sign a decent overseas cricketer.

The cash for such a signing has been diverted to pay for the ground redevelopment.

so you dont consider Imran tahir a decent overseas cricketer? i go to most Bears games, and Imran has been our stand out player this season, and a class act, he si the top wicket taker in CC and we are bottom of the league, this despite him bowling with very little for us to defend. Imran has been our best overseas player since Streak in 2004, and probably better than him. Going long back to find any1 better than Imran. The problem withWarwickshire is ;1) the captain Westwood is so out of form, he keeps getting picked due to him being captain (hes been unlucky with ehs last 2 dismissals). 2) we ahve no strength in our top order batsman, Now JT and Bell (just been called back to ODI squad) are abck maybe we can start getting battin points, we ahvent for the past 4 games.

Interesting comment by Brian Halford on his blog about the T20 at Derby last night. It does appear that the competition is rapidly losing its' appeal.

I'm not sure that I would want to sit and watch cricket on a cold and wet night in Derby!

Fair points Villa 87 and Tahir is a bright spot in a poor 1st class season. But when you see the likes of Gilchrist at Middlesex you do wonder why the Bears do not seem to be able to attract overseas players of the calibre of a Lara, a Donald or a Pollock anymore.

Doesn't look as if it's working out tonight, despite an excellent last over,113 surely will never be enough

We were just blown away by Notts. Dismal. What made it even worse is that I watched it on my brand new, World-Cup-ready HD television and witnessed the full horror of our performance in high definition.

In defending a small total, the Pears needed a bit of luck and a dominant performance in the field. They got neither with the fielding very poor at times. Moeen Ali's drop was awful.

Type in the promotional code PUGWASH

As mentioned before T20 losing it's appeal?
