Anyone going to the T20 against Northampton on Thursday?
Just booked my tickets for the Eric Hollies, only a tenner - bargain.

Jesus Christ, it gets worse.

Bears bowled out for 100 in 35 overs and have just started the follow-on.

For those following Westwood-watch, he got 16, which was third-highest scorer, behind Botha (20) and the nightwatchman Miller (35).

No-one else got double figures.

As predicted, the top order head-off on Test duty and the club plummets towards relegation.

The incomparable Westwood is 49 not out as we stride majestically to 125 for 3.

Yep, better effort second time out.

Trouble is, we'll probably have to be still batting at tea tomorrow to even be in with a chance of a draw.

Lots of lovely rain at Edgbaston.  No play at all so far today.

It's still very dark and drizzly up here, be a miracle if there's a ball bowled today.

Just heard on the radio that in meteorological terms today is the first day of summer.

Yep, saved by the rain.  Match abandoned as a draw.

Lucky escape but we've another County Championship game coming up against Somerset on Friday.

I only noticed from the scorecard yesterday that Tim Ambrose had been dropped from the side.  Westwood has probably done enough to avoid the axe for the next game (assuming that he's even droppable, as captain) but the likes of Troughton, Chopra and Maddy must be worried.

Not as worried as Ashely Giles though.  He's got a top order full of under-performing batsmen and basically no-one else to bring in.

To be honest, even with Trott and Bell in the team the County Championship batting was in dire shape. Relegation is a certainty at this rate.

I hope the entire county champiobship season gets rained off. Bears are fucking useless.

Then we'd be relegated.

As a lifelong Bear, this is a surreal experience. I can only imagine this next point, but surely this is how it feels to be a Nose?

Glad I was dragged up proper!

Although I consider myself a Bear, I have never really followed domestic cricket that closely, just kept an eye out for the scores and what have you.

I think back to the time we were winning trophies left right and centre, attracting players like Lara.

So where has it all gone wrong, and why?
