57 for 2 off 9 and a bit overs.

Need 21 more.  Carter got 24 off 20, and Maddy 24 off 23.

They went off for a while after the two wickets fell but they're back out now and it looks like they could get a few more overs in while the weather holds.

They did it!  Won by 8 wickets.  Great result.  Well done.

321-7 today. Biggest 40 over score for the Bears.

Some terrific hitting in that innings:

Carter 68 off 38 balls

Bell 72 off 58

Woakes 49 not out off 16!

Fantastic day out at Edgbaston today, if a tad chilly!

We went at it from the start and never let up, great stuff, Woakes hit a couple of huge sixes towards the end, one landing only two seats from me and upsetting some poor blokes full pint of lager, bloody expensive shot that!

Leicester had a go as well but some good, tight bowling from that man Woakes meant they were always behind the D/L score.

We appear to have turned the corner which is pleasing to see.

Let's hope we can build on it.

Had Kent on the ropes at 73-7.  Hope they won't regret the 120 runs they then let them pile on.

No they won't. Another comfortable victory 5 out of 5 now is it?

Dodgy pitch?

Anyway, nice to see Andrew Miller getting a five-fer, could be a good prospect.
