If I was Ash I'd be begging to go, Villa are a shambles with no light at the end of the tunnel!

L.young, petrov, carew, heskey are all the wrong side of 30.
We have an owner seemingly unwilling to spend anymore, so I'd jump ship at first opurtunity

IF we sell Young to Spuds, that would give a good indication of Randy's future ambitions for the club.

And i would be megga pissed off.

If Liverpool came in for Petrov i'd rip their arm off

I wouldn't. Still a very good player in the right system, and we need all the central midfield experience we can at the moment.
I tend to agree Monty, although I'd like to think we could do better. One thing that concerns me is that he is our captain, and its difficult to sub/rotate/drop him. I think we need a new captain.

No Reo-Coker. He can pass really you know he's just been pretending to be completely incapable of passing so he can come to the rescue completely unheralded with one year left on his contract.

Can't we attempt to make some loan moves?

If Ash goes it will be the last straw for me. Luckily he won't.

For all those keen to slag off Petrov, it'll be interesting to see how he plays in the International against England next Friday.

Different team mates, different manager, different tactics.  Is he past it, or are we not getting the best out of him?

Mascherani has gone so will Liverpool now come knocking as widely reported for ash young or petrov-there you go randy more coffers to add to your bank.
You don't half talk some rubbish sometimes.

They've already bought Christian Poulsen, who may be one of the subtle buys of the summer.

Subtle? Did you see him in the World Cup. He was awful.

Mrs Mozza just shouted me that BBC Midlands has stated NO TRANSFERS IN BEFORE WINDOW SHUTS

635 pages for nothing ( correction Stephen Ireland)

381 pages if you, like I did set the system to 25 posts per page. A waste of all our summers I'll agree.

Old twitch can fuck off back to prision where he belongs. You don't need Ashley Young, you already have the overrated Gareth Bale and one trick pony Aaron Lennon, go and avoid tax like you always do and try and a find £2 million player like you did with Kranjcar.

I would not go to Villa Park this season if we sold Ashley Young. We'd be turning into the Florida Marlins.

The Noses have signed N’Zogbia for just shy of £10 million. That’s a lot of money for a lot of mediocre player.

Not mediocre. He's very good on his day. Sadly, he has a bit of an attitude on him. He'll throw his toys out of the pram inside a year. He will be a good addition to ensure their slog to eleventh.

Exactly what I was thinking. Small Heath have had this weird obsession with N'Zogbia since the transfer window opened... he's gone from Newcastle to Wigan and now to the noses (hardly a step up). I'd love to know why small heath were stupid enough to pay double for an inconsistent left-back; it seems Alex Mcleish has gone down the 'MON route' of paying well over the odds for an average player.

Also after Clyne from what i read. Thought he would be a good young back up for Warnock at a reasonable price.

Even at his tender age I'd see Clyne as a replacement for Carlos at right back straight away.
