Paddy power has suspended bets on the "next Villa manager" on Sven. He has also been reported as saying he would take a pay cut as he is aware of the "wage bill" issue with lerner. On a positive he has great "world" contacts and has massive pulling power. Also knows all the Man city players and could possible attract Bellamy and Ireland as part of the Milner fiasco .............

I keep hearing that the milner deal will be finalised today which I think is totally unacceptable.

To me there is no way  that Milner shoukld be sold until we get a new manager, because the decision to sell a player should be made at that level, and if that means he isn't sold until January themn so be it..

Instead it would appear that the player is being sold for non footballing reasons by the club's owner. I accept that the owner may well have bought Milner with his own money in the first place, but the whole scenario just underlines the unsustainable mess that we are in.

Exactly. The decision has been taken. No new manager is going to change it, now he can do one, we'll get an excellent player and part of the next managers kitty on top.

yes, quite. It makes no difference to me if he supports Liverpool, Barca or anyone else. And he may be a Liverpool fan or at least have a real admiration. Let's face it, they were very, very good for a long time.
