Yes!

So much for the hysteriarti yesterday going on about us having no chance of signing everyone.

Yes!

An unsubstantiated rumour on the Internet about a player being in talks clearly knocks that fear on the head.

Maybe if he was bookies favourite to join you'd believe it.

Funny, no really.

I don't believe or disbelieve that Bab Bradley is about to become our manager, I do believe though that the bookies installed him as favourite and I found that a little dispiriting when put against all the other crap.

Just an observation, but i don't think i've ever seen you post on here where you aren't arguing with someone! :-)

Yes you have.

My mood changed I glad he has gone to be honest.

Milner out , Ireland in and maybe someone like Bellamy on Loan.

A new manager could get the good side he had going out get the best out of-

NRC, Delph , Luke Young, Davies, Sidwell etc. There has to be a good player somewhere in Sidwell!!!!!
With Kids like Albrighton, Fonz, Clark. we have a good bloody squad.
I think get to Jan a new manager if we find the right one , can then adjust to what he wants.

I dont think we have to finish outside the top 6. Those 5 I mentioned 4 have been around England squad over last 4 years and cannot get in our first 11 last 2 seasons!

sky sports news have pictures of him and his agent leaving a hotel in Stafford!      i think they may have jumped the gun and just presumed it was for us, unless pictures come out of a villa rep their.

What about this young lad NRC? Mid-20's good engine, iffy passing, but a good squad player.

How about that old soldier L. Young? Not a brilliant right back but as full backs go, there are less solid options.

I think we should sign these two.

Now I might need to put my tin hat on but there was this player who always impressed me at Newcastle. He's just about the only decent defender I recall seeing for them, had a really successful time in France before hand too. He moved after Newcastle went down and it hadn't worked out for whatever reason.

I just can't remember his name. If that Young fellow don't work out we could do worse than him.

Looks like we're not getting Onuoha. I'd have taken him on loan.

We'll need to sell some of the high earners and hope we can bring them in on the cheap in order to drive down the wage bill.

We don't need him we have a couple of right backs our new manager could play.

I keep reading that all these players are now going to get a chance, if so who are we selling to satisfy the demand, repeated today by the General, to drive down the wage bill? That's the reality of the situation, players still need to go.

I'm sure players do need to go, but if they can't be shifted they may aswell at least be in with a chance to play.

The problem was the players that werent being used on high wages. If they are being used, no problem.
And we've shifted enough space off the wage bill for Ireland.

Harewood, Shorey and soon Milner would equate to over £100k p/w.

Mods,

Just wondering if we can close this thread now? After 579 pages of discussion, hearsay, reliable sources etc. it appears our close season isnt going to amount to anything. In all honesty, i think id prefer not to sign anyone. They would only be a rush/panic buy if done by our new manager or possibly not compatible if bought before his arrival. Save the cash, consolidate, look at our existing squad and plan for next year. Im not being downbeat, just realistic  regards to making the best out of a bad situation....

Another request to close the tread...
It just beggars belief. What causes somebody to ask for a thread about transfers to be locked? Is it offensive? Is there something I'm missing? Is there some secret kiddy diddling discussion going on in code or something?
