Just listening to Bellamy on SSN and him saying that he probably will not be in the 25 man squad.

This begs the question on how players stand contractually.  If a player has a contract that includes a bonus clause based on appearances and the club decides not to give him the opportunity to play, how does the player stand.  Does the club have to renegotiate the contract and, if so, can other things be changed.

According to skysports.com
Ireland spent today in talks with us about joining even without a manager!

Yes!

An unsubstantiated rumour on the Internet about a player being in talks clearly knocks that fear on the head.

You've been going on about unsubstantiated rumours all day quoting them as they are fact.

At least mine has some basis in that we were supposedly going to sign him this week anyway.

1) No, I haven't.

2) Can we pay his wages? Will anyone want to sign without knowing who the manager is?

We’ve just freed up £42k p/w by flogging Shorey.

A great swathe of redundant cash on the wage bill will just have become reactivated.

Maybe if he was bookies favourite to join you'd believe it.

1. I would hope we can pay his wages, especially if Milner is going the other way thus freeing a substantial amount up.

2. He might if he's heard whispers that he isn't going to make their 25.

Shorey was never on £42k a week.

Shorey not!

Funny, no really.

I don't believe or disbelieve that Bab Bradley is about to become our manager, I do believe though that the bookies installed him as favourite and I found that a little dispiriting when put against all the other crap.

I hope so, it would certainly lift some of the gloom although I imagine he's currently on more than Milner. The savings on coaching and fitness staff will of course help. <wink>
