Not transfer related I know, but has anyone seen the SSN footage of Citeh's training day today. Two things I noticed about their tracksuit tops, one was they were sky blue with claret MCFC writing on the back looked more like we should be wearing them! Plus they made the management look like a 1950's American girl gang ala the Pink Ladies from Grease!

I thought an attacking midfielder was someone who had flair and played centrally like Sneijder or Ireland. Or is it now the term for wingers who are shit at crossing?

A winger position does not exist in Football Manager, it is Attacking Midfielder left/right. Therefore it is now illegal to call players wingers unless it is relating to their tactic instructions which is in Football Manager. Don't you know Footbal Manager is the bible of all things football related?

Whenever I've seen McGeady play he's been on the wing. For Celtic and Ireland but if Football Manager says differently.

Our biggest problem is that we can't get rid of the dead wood; ala Heskey and co. Despite the likely 20odd million we are about to get for Milner (with Ireland as well) it is unlikely that we will invest a great deal of that if we cant shift any of these squad players.
If Shorey leaves that is a start although I think this should mean that we then refuse to sell Young, bearing in mind how injury prone Warnock is -or how much of a pansy he is seeing as he always seems to get little knocks.

I expect us to sell Milner and get Ireland and then buy Keane. End of activity. Any of the six or so players sold will be a bonus in MoN's mind and so as per, the Villa will be understrength in depth unless MoN starts giving the youngsters more responsibility.

You have to wonder if City pay straight cash for Milner and we do want Ireland whether or not we will have missed a trick and end up 2-3 million out of pocket by signing him late in the window.

I also wonder if MON fancies Keane and Bentley - seeing the latter as the latest in his making a winger a central midfield player line.

Yes I've seen georgie on sky today- must be tv jackpot day villa live on tv , georgie in a low cut top, and to top it off Lucy kite in shorts on central news- pure tv heaven!

If you can make such a judgement after a friendly I'd say we proved tonight that we're (still after 20 years of watching) a couple of players away. Fonz might be the centre forward we've been waiting for. A central midfield genius we've not had since Sid cowans is still amiss. I think Ireland and keane will arrive next week. Will they be enough?
NRC looked focussed and ready for the season ahead tonight. Hope he gets a game this year.
