Exactly, they don't have one recognised LB apart from kids. He is going to be better value than Bridge in both fee and wages who they have been linked with.

Think they're getting Figueroa from Wigan who was one of the best fullbacks in the country season before last.

Luke will surely be cover, but Johnson's injury prone so should get his fair share of action.

Not quite sure if this is the correct place to ask or not because i'm not a regular over here but strong rumours are coming out of portugal (where sunderland are based for pre-season) suggesting that Heskey is en-route to the stadium of light. I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with the sunderland messageboards but the SMB are now carrying the rumours. Getting slightly nervous now. Especially as it appears that a loan move for Danny Welbeck has fallen through and Jones looking very unsettled yet again.

I can't say I like Steve Bruce very much but if he does this he will go to the top of my christmas card list. Crosses fingers and toes.

Bruce took him to Blues and had him at Wigan, so let's hope it's true. Would be a logical replacement to Kenwyne Jones if he is going.

Bruce has signed Bramble.

This signing just makes sense (as much as i don't want it to). He's worked with Emile before and Bruce loves anything like a kick and rush game. A big powerhouse up top is what bruce really wants, unfortunately.
