I don't know how Prince-Boateng ended up being seen as a player that would just be a drain on resources at VP. He's a bighead for sure but I thought he had a tremendous season and was one of the better performers so far at the World Cup, so where people's animosity stems from I'm none the wiser.

Would that be the season where he spent majority of it on the treatment table while Pompey were battling relegation and then recovered just in time for the two Wembley games?

If that's aimed at me, I have no animosity towards him at all. He's a decent player, I'm just not convinced he's good enough yet. I wonder how he can be considered to have had a "tremendous season" too.

That's more like it. I dont think Arteta is as good as he's cracked up to be sometimes but he's a fine player.

Does seem to be injured a lot though. Or is that just how it seems?

That intrigued me, so I looked it up. His appearance totals from 05 / 06 (he signed in January 2005) are:

37, 39, 37, 31, 16

So he has his niggles but has really only had one bad season (last season) since he has been there.

Personally I think we'd be a sideways step for Arteta.

IF he was available I'm sure there would be 'bigger' clubs interested.
