Boateng would be a good squad addition, I'd prefer him over Sidwell and NRC.

That's far more sensible. I'd probably agree.

Sidwell, yes. I'm not sure I'd want him instead of NRC though. I think we can do a bit better.

We can do better. We could do a lot worse though.

Did Pompey actually buy him in the end, or is he still on Spurs books?

I think Pompey paid £4.5m for him.

They still owe all of that no doubt.

Simple deal then. You give us Kevin, we'll pay Spurs what you owe them.

Again, I dont really see the point.
We're back to buying players to fluff the squad out and I'd rather not do that this summer. I'd rather try and improve the quality of the first team first. Its imperative we do that and we'll need every penny to do it.

Maybe MON is going to sell all the squad players and buy no other fucker.

He only uses the same 11 players anyway.

Given all that players that are due to leave, then I think we need to do both this summer.  If we got say 3 or 4 players that could walk straight into our first team and about the same to replace some of the squad players, I'd be pretty happy.

Top striker (I won't mention the wee Irish bloke)
Micah Richards
Witsel

Then the likes of Jamie O'Hara, Clyne and after that we could probably be OK with just promoting some of the youth players.

thats a lot of money.

me, if milner stays,  i'd go for top striker 15m
right back 5m
someone for petrov 8m
couple of squad players on free's

reckon the firesale should bring in 10m at least

Depending on which bullshit press story you choose to believe, Witsel has been quoted at £8m and Richards at £6m.  And I expect more than £10 from the players set to leave.

Shorey - £2.5m
Young - £3m
Beye - £1m
Sidwell - £3m
Davies - £5m
NRC - £4.5m

nrc is on the last year of his contract and some of them are on wages that will deter the sort of clubs who might be interested. may take some lowering of fees to offset them.

Although we pay well, I don't think we pay the sort of wages that would put off too many PL clubs.  And even if we did it cause an issue I think these things are normally solved in the form of a 'golden handshake' to the player rather than a lowering of the transfer fee.
