If we sell Milner and get Ireland and £25m then we should use that to get a good defensive midfielder and Diego Forlan.

:)

Doubt we'd manage to get that much.  If it is £28m total I'd say Ireland and that should leave at least the £16m left that Huntelaar was quoted as going for!

Pienaar is nothing like Petrov.

You're right. Petrov would look stupid with cornrows.

If Petrov had cornrows the sweat would be pissing off him like niagra falls

I can't believe people are doubting Pienaar. He is top draw and that link man that we need. I would bite Everton's hand off at £12million as he is far more influntial for them than Barry was for us.

I really can't see it happening though, i think he is CL bound

Really? That cissy that was falling over after a fly landed on him at Villa Park. You'd really pay £12m for him when he's available for nothing in a year?

And how can you say he is far more influential for them than Barry was for us. He was our Captain and one of the top midfielders in the league. Is Pienaar one of the best midfielders in the league? Is he bollocks. He's a decent player.

This thing that people are seeing when it comes to Pienaar, do you have to be pissed to see it?
Just to check my own sanity, I looked at the Actim stats and he comes in at number 47. Not bad but not really top class either. To pay £12m for him with a year left on his contract would be to value him at something like a £30m player on a full contract. If somebody paid that for him they would/should be committed.

I think they'll spend less than people are expecting. They'll still be spunking it around like acwilliams in a white-only tennis tournament wank-a-thon.

If you offered me Barry or Pienaar then there is no choice. This is why Pienaar is being linked with the top teams in europe and Barry ended up at Man Shitty and had a disappointing season. I agree he didn't have a great game at VP this season, but he tore us apart last season. £12 million is steep for any player with one year remaining on his contract, but if we have to pay thta this year to ensure he signs for us then i would be more than willing. Pienaar on a free would not end up at VP.

Agreed, I wouldn't piss on Judas Jellykegs if he was on fire but I wouldn't hesitate to have him back rather than Pienaar.
I dont care what Wenger says, we have better midfielders, who create and score more goals.
If its a toss up between him and Ireland for £12m, Ireland is twice the player.

I concur. Pienaar - all legs, no action.

Disagree totally. Season before last he was the best player on the park when we drew 3-3. I'd have him like a shot, he won't join us though. If he's going to leave Everton it will be top 4 or abroad.

Ireland is a much better player than pienaar  will ever be-arteta and cahill make everton  tick, I would not want pienaar here, the likes of ireland and Scott Parker are what we need , I'd far rather have Barry back than see pienaar come here!

Pienaar is a reasonably good player in my opinion. However, £12million is very steep and I'd much rather have Ireland.

I also don't particular want us to be signing 29/30 year old players unless they are very, very good.
