Bearing in mind all the WC players cannot discuss moves between now and approx 11/07/10 and pre-season starts about then the window will not be as long as normal

Have Man City not signed J Boateng frm Hamburg, Arsenal signed Chamakh from Bordeaux ???

If we ended this summer having signed Ireland, Bentley, Micah Richards and Darren Bent I'd be delighted.  And none of them will be at the World Cup so I wouldn't panic just yet!

At least SHA have made some signings, they have seen that they needed a goalie, striker and have acted positively and have strengthened on last season...what have we done ??? zero this Zigic is no donkey and if he gets 5/6 goals in the WC they may have a bargain. I hope it wont be all done at the last minute again when any signings will have missed pre-season

But it's never as straightforward as we want them > they come here.

There might be severance pay, the timing of certain contracts (ie when they technically enter the last year -this clearly has a knock-on effect on value) and the biggest oxymoron in football, the 'loyalty' bonus to contend with.

Had we done the same business Blose have done so far there would ruptions on here about signing a third or fourth choice Man Utd keeper and a guy who has played a handful of games for Valencia in the last three years, scoring 5 goals.

Also if you ever envy the Blues you should probably just go forth into the street.

yeah what do we want with a young  6' 8" striker who scored 13 goals in 19 games in Spain, Mons prefers 33 year old strikers who don't score, far better. Who needs one of the best potential young keepers around, when there are 40 year old experienced guys like Friedel to snap up. No sense in that is there.

Its far better to be 2 weeks into the season, out of Europe with untried kids and injured players sitting in the stands and no viable defence before you buy players, far more sensible.

what it shows is that foreign  players are willing to come to  Birmingham (not the club the city ) however we have a Muppet of a manager who does not like flair or technically good players. that's what pisses me off and that's why we will never get into the top four .

You lot might be happy with the our style of play but i am not , MON has turned our club into a hostel for English / British  players and it sickens me.

It's not him we need to check up on first, it's the scouts ;-)
