Plus if we sold him it would be worth celebrating. Why he went for Heskey when Darren Bent was there for the taking is beyond me.

We'd all like us to make some stand out signings this summer, but as of today it really is time to start getting realistic and lowering expectations with our transfer targets.

We havent had any head turning signings for years and thats unlikely to change this summer, so at best expect us to be in the market for unwanted players from other teams pushing or in the CL.

Next season is going to be a tough slog especially with 8 derby games and the standard of the PL being higher than this season in all positions.

I just hope we get rid of all the deadwood, concentrate on signing quality forwards and a midfielder, and above anything else...make sure any signings are better than what we currently have in the starting XI so we have a stronger squad of players that he will play.

I think MON would want him and his wages can be met when Carew leaves

he clearly is a game changer and was City's threat all game because the second half they constantly gave him the ball to attack Carlos who was magnificent against him and had to be.

Hate to say it, but I'd take Bellamy in a heartbeat. He was good today again, always an outlet, and Carlos had to be on fire to stop him today.

Despite all these millions spent, consistently, over the last two seasons, Bellamy has been their best player (aside from Tevez this season).

I do believe he could be sold though this summer.

Twat he may be, but a bloody good footballer he is, hard worker and he makes things happen.

In those games where we struggle to break teams down, Bellamy's individuality could unlock a few doors for us.

he was on loan of course and Celtic were desperate to buy him before MON resigned. But Bellamy preferred to stay in the PL.

He is a total pain in the arse but the kind of player we are desperate for, he is a pain because he cares for the game so much.
