I still feel losing NRC is a mistake. Obviously if we bring in someone like Parker, I wouldn't mind him going as much. But to me, NRC is a great player. He broke up play so well, and was always running. I genuinely miss him turning out for us.

I can't think of a player who has disappointed more this season than Rosicky. He would star in my 'most over-rated' XI of the season - first name on the team sheet!

Fair enough Rich.

But it's one thing to disappoint in a side like Arsenal (most mere mortals would pale in comparison to Fabregas, Arshavin, Nasri and the like). Whether he's good enough (or not) for a side like ours is a different thing altogether.

Of all the players we could realistically go for (ie if they don't have Prem experience they're usually dead to us) he would be at the upper end of the scale talent-wise.

Me too, he would be in my starting eleven regularly if I were the man in charge! I think he's one of our most under appreciated players. He's light years ahead of Sidwell in my view of things.

The days of NRC players in the Prem are gone, you need players who can just get a toe in and win the ball, but more importantly be comfortable when they receive the ball, and be able to pass.

You could have 3 Milners in midfield nowadays, but not 3 NRCs.

A midfield of Milner/Delph and Dorrans for example imho would be ideal, passing pace and aggression in each player.Keep Petrov as back up, and maybe a Collison kind of player as well.

But the days of NRC and Sidwell are gone.Although i dont think Sidwell deserves all the stick he gets.

Indeed, he's a quality ball boy if nothing else..

No they're not. There will always be a place for that type of midfield player. Although I do agree that a midfield with three NRCs wouldn't function well enough, we've missed his tenacity at times since he's been injured.

Adebayor is a horrible person, he can stay at City IMO.

Why do people dismiss excellent players because they aren't perfect human beings?

We're not The Corinthians!

Agree Merv, he's a good footballer whom our manager fell out with.

As Hamburg are in a bit of a meltdown now is the time to pick up Petric.

hopefully we will keep nrc and he will get a go next season. Realistically, midfield targets id like to see us try and get would be etherington from stoke and scott parker.

Another potentially good target would be chris eagles from burnley. i thought he was class this season....
