I think a lot of European sides would struggle to counteract our tactics when we're at our best. On the flip side, when we're not playing so well I think we'd struggle to get a touch of the ball.

Chamakh is gettable and a stereotypical 'MON type player'.

He and Rodagella with Heskey leaving would sort us out nicely upfront, I feel.

Carew is a "big powerful striker" and on his day is a top striker and way better than Cole. Just think we need a different type of player with a bit more finess and agility ....

Have said Bendtner several times. Yes he has attitude, but thats good for a 22y old, and nothing O`neil cant sort out ...

Eduardo might be more likely to be moved on than Bendtner I think. Different sort of players but it's been a while since he's played through the middle.

Regular games = goals for Eduardo. Might exactly be what we need?

Eduardo does actually fit the bill. He is skillful, has great vision and an eye for goal. Hope your listening MON ...

He doesn't appear to be the same player since Taylor clattered him.

Christian Riveros would be cheap and could do a job in midfield as could Krasic from CSKA although some big clubs could be after him.

I'm surely not the only one thinking that Hleb would be absolutely perfect for us. He's a player with many tactical and individual abilities in exactly the areas we're lacking, who runs hard and passes well. I think he could link up superbly with Downing, Milner etc. and be a big player for us. Versatile as well. We could get him, Barca don't want him and Stuttgart couldn't provide a viable alternative to us I feel as they're currently ninth in the Bundesliga and quite a way off European qualification.

I'd like to see Mladen Petric, the Croatia striker. Not too sure where he is now but he was at Hamburg when they beat us last season wasn't he? I know Olic moved to Bayern but I was sure Petric was there too.

Anyways, he's strong, strikes the ball superbly and is a real Gudjohnsen (Eidur, not Joey!)/Carew type player who seems to score goals, particularly against English defences (if the Baggies come up, Scott Carson would poo himself)!

Not a big star name but capable, just as Dzeko, Grafite, Gignac, are capable but were not big star names until recently. And remember, Rambo wasn't a big star name either...

Thought the same last night. Getable and would be great at Villa...
