Paper talk Robbie Keane and Rodallega.

Sign them both.

considering the poor showing of Guzan I'd like to see a bid for Palace's keeper, just in case Friedel gets tired

Keane looks to be too far down the downward slope now, I fear.

another site does a prematch interview with opposition fan and they usually ask which Villa player would you like. Gabby nearly always tops their list and is often their lone choice. Yet Villa fans always want to replace him with some well travelled misfit or the latest media fad.
Crazy.

No, I think you'll find people want a better striker to play alongside Gabby, not replace him.

One or two people might have said it when he's gone through a bit of bad form, this is hardly the same as every Villa fan saying it continually is it?

Gabbys game has really improved. He's almost becoming a complete forward and not just someone who has pace.

Delfouneso looks like a right goal hanger, would like to see him along side Gabby at some point.

Who on earth wants to replace Gabby?  I'd say he's arguably the most important player at the club, I'd sell anybody else before I sold him.

Another cracking pair of goals from Carroll again last night. I'm telling you, that boy is going to score shitloads. We should pull out all the stops to get him before somebody else does, or Newcastle regain their former power.

Robert Earnshaw scores lots in the fizzy pop league.

Carroll does look good but I'm not sure he's the answer at the moment, I'm not sure Newcastle would let him go unless they get promoted and overspent on shit again.

No way - he has a propensity to eat all the pies unfortunately.

Against Scunthorpe United, mind.

There is no way Newcastle will sell him, anyway. When they get promoted, they're already going to find themselves lumbered with the same squad that got them relegated (with the addition of dubious quality like Leon Best and Wayne Routledge), no money forthcoming from their owner, and an unproven manager.

They'd be committing suicide if they sold their only goalscorer, and I suspect they know it.
