Player You've seen at VP?

I thought Valencia was brilliant last season, and muntari was good also when Pompey beat us.

Years ago v Celta Vigo I thought Mostovoi was brilliant.

Lennon was brilliant for Spuds @ VP this season.
Wagner Love looked class as well.
When Manure beat us 4-1 in the league last year I thought Anderson ran the show, absolutely superb.

Memories section innit.

Robbie Fowler and Gerard always seem/ed to do well against us. Usually Shearer and Le Tiss too.

I agree with that.

More recently, Mark Halsey was outstanding for Arsenal a few seasons back. Even dummying a Thiery Henry free kick.

Wagner Love (CSKA)
Vieira (Arse)
Beelzebub (QPR)
Sutton (Blackburn)
The bloke with the mullet and white boots that scored a hattrick (Varteks)
I'm too young to remember Cruyff and Boniek but my dad says they were brilliant at Villa Park.
Anyone remember if Pele was any good against us?

Dalgliesh always scared me whenever he had the ball,
Le Tiss seemed to enjoy playing us, as did Rushie.

And dare i say it Trevor Francis always had a field day at VP whoever he was playing for

Remember being sat in North Stand upper when we got battered by Arsenal one season, the Gooners spent all match chanting for Charlie Nicholas, while Tony Woodcock slaughtered our back four almost single handed.

Not sure it was the greatest performance I've seen from an opposition player, but has lived in the memory as one of the least rewarded by his own fans.

In days of old:
Cruyff - never tire of saying how brilliant he was
Bobby Tambling - scored 5 and went off, declared.

More recently, another vote for David White for one specific performance and Le Tissier, Fowler and  Gerrard for always seeming to do well against us.

Sulley Muntari... Scored two I think. That must have been the day Inter's scouts came to see him.

Much as it pains me - Francis when he got the hat trick for QPR was brilliant.
