I thought it was 5 Ian.
Anyone who thought Sunday was bad should have seen that game, now that was bad.
Putting a positive slant on things, after that Arsenal game, our next league game was away to Man Utd, which we won 2-1. Maybe an omen for April 5th?

Oh, and I lost count of the number of times that Robbie Savage completely bossed our supposedly superior midfields over the years.

It was once.

Nope!

I'm afraid it was at least 2-and-a-half times for Small Heath, and every time he played for Leicester at VP.

Christ, he'd never even been on the losing side at Villa Park until we beat Blackburn in September 2005!

Ian Wright on Easter Monday '95, hat-trick in a 4-0 defeat at home.

I seem to remember him running through the whole team for his last one.

And that bastard Francis.

Mark Draper pissed all over us in the 4-4 with Leicester City.

I remember that, he never quite played like that for us.

Steve McManaman always used to play well against us at Anfield.

I remember that Ian Wright Hat-Trick aswell. I remember him running upto the half way line after he scored one and just collapsed.

One of the only good games he had at VP :-

Draper wasn't that bad for us.  He started off well enough but after a year or two he started modelling his game on Ray Wilkins and it all went downhill from there.

Can't even remember him leaving us, his career just sort of petered out.

His first season was terrific and the talk of the town. only thing it lacked was a few more goals - i think he got 5 the first season then went a whole year without one. Once Gregory came in that was pretty much the end of Draper as a regular starter. Bit part player for the rest of that season.

He always looked in a midfield 3 with Townsend and Taylor.

Agreed the David White 4 goal display for Man City was devastating but there again Villa were poor that night - April 1991 wasn't it?

Another performance not mentioned yet was Regi Blinker for Sheffield Wednesday in the mid 90s - I think the score was 2 - 2 and he scored both for them and looked like a world beater!!
