Hello again 'those in the know',
Thanks for your previous info, I also found this - worth going to does anyone think?
 http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/MLBEventInfo?orgid=2139&agency=MLB&pid=6679205

Remember that's a pre-season "Spring Training" warm up game, so some (if not most) of the main players may be missing. However, it should be a great opportunity to see one of the best ballparks at a cheap price.

Hopefully you'll get to see one of my new favorite players, Pablo "Kung Fu Panda" Sandoval

Cool - got ourselves a couple of tickets for this. Not too concerned about the possiblity of some main players missing due to not knowing enough about baseball to really know who they are anyway! Basically just looking forward to checking out a great park and experiencing something new. Should be a good afternoon..!

I've never done a fantasy league of any kind.

If I did do one, it would be football (of either variety), as they have fewer games and it is weekly.

Baseball seems like it would be WAY too much work just to keep up since they play pretty much every single day.

Rather than keeping his best five starters, one of my mates adds/drops pitchers everyday depending on who's starting.

He's retired, so he's got the time but I'd never be able to keep a track of what was going on using that method.

However, it seems to work. He won two years ago and was runner up last year (topped the regular season standing but lost the playoff final).

Phil Hughes is the 5th Yankees starter.

Joba to the Bullpen.

And will probably take Mo's place when Mo retires as the best closer of all time.

Why has it taken the Highlanders this long to figure out that Joba's not cut out to be a starter ?

Joba is to Mo now, as Mo was to John Wetteland

Well I think the problem is that people have this attitude that being a starter is all that matters.

But in reality, a solid setup man who can do your 7th and 8th every time (with mo at 9th) means a whole lot too.

The Sox come from behind to defeat the Yankees 9-7 in  the season's curtain opener.

Most other teams start their season today beginning at about 6pm BST. Live in the UK on ESPNAmerica (if you're signed up to ESPN for their Premier League games, you'll get this channel as well) and on MLB.com

Two home runs today for Albert Pujols.

By the time his career is over I think he'll rank as the second greatest player ever after Babe Ruth

(NB - unless Albert also becomes a MLB calibre pitcher, he'll never oust the Babe from the number 1 slot)

Been gone a few weeks.

Went to Boston and caught two Yankee games at Fenway and then went with the wife and son to Tampa for- ummm I mean Disney world in Orlando.

(and maybe my first time in Tampa for one Yankee Rays games before going to Miami)

My first home game is on Friday.

Which is the one my friend is going to propose at.

hahahaha
What a horribly great idea!
