I have decided I'm an Orioles fan, 'cause we were in Maryland last year and my surname begins with an O'S and they are the O's. Unfortunately we didn't get to go to a game while we were over, but hopefully next time.
Welcome to the fanclub! On March 31st last year I wrote:Baltimore Orioles because it sounds a bit rude.

The Yankees were actually the original Baltimore Orioles. Orioles are a decent choice for the stadium alone. I wouldn't worry about the Ray's long term, but it is rought to be in the same divison as the Yankees and Redsox, but if that's who you like, that's who you like. They also have one of the best hat's I have ever seen. The old 80's orioles hat is absolutely amazing! I wish I could get one. http://www.weblo.com/asset_images/large/d_backs_stros_phils_fish_46bceaee1d062.jpg

Before, pmarachi starts.............. yes, I know that Manny and Papi have just been named as having failed the 2003 drug tests. However, I don't give a flying feck. After 80 odd years of waiting I don't care what it took to win the World Series Here's some comments from Manny & Papi (courtesy of the great Olbermann's blog) Ortiz - with some help in the phrasing, but this is doubtlessly him - issues a statement of confession:
"One, I have already contacted the Players Association to confirm if this report is true. I have just been told that the report is true. Based on the way I have lived my life, I am surprised to learn I tested positive. Two, I will find out what I tested positive for. And, three, based on whatever I learn, I will share this information with my club and the public. You know me -- I will not hide and I will not make excuses."
Meanwhile MLB.Com quotes Ramirez, before the Dodgers-Cards in St. Louis:
"If you guys want to talk about the game and what happens now, I can sit and talk for two hours. But something happened six years ago, I don't want to talk about that. If you want more information, you have the number for the union. Call them." A slight difference in approach from the two people concerned
