Notice how much anti Red Sox pm posts. I think this run of being in the Red Sox shadow is getting to him ;-)

Can I still enjoy a 3-0 and you fucked it up chant?

There is nothing wrong with the Yankees history, wear that top proudly.

We have the best owner in the game and possibly the ONLY owner in all of sports that truly cares more about winning than making money.

I can't argue about the New York Highlanders' history but ............

That owner will be friend of Richard Nixon and convicted felon George Steinbrenner (if you need one reason to hate the Highlanders, there it is).

Despite playing in a publicly funded ballpark the Highlanders have the most expensive ticket prices in baseball

I bet the avg fan gets into Yankee Stadium for a smaller price than Fenway.

My ten game package has a $10 face value.  How many tickets at That little stadium have a $10 face value?

Look, if you live in the UK I don't blame you for being a sox fan.  If you were a sox fan in 2001 I don't blame you for being a sox fan either.

But when you live here, especially in the northeast, it is the ULTIMATE frontrunner team.

I don't think you guys could understand.  I live 30 minutes from yankee stadium, and 3 hours from Fenway.

I never saw a sox hat growing up, and now sox hats outnumber yankee/mets hats 3:1

EVERYWHERE you go, people that you know don't watch baseball are wearing Sox hats.  Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania etc...

It's absurd.

All I can say pm is i've followed the Red Sox since 97 when we got live baseball on TV here in the UK.

I chose the Red Sox because it seemed they had a great history but shite present and always seemed to cock it up when the big chance came. Made them sound like the Villa so they became my team. Those were the days where Mo Vaughn was the star.

I fully expected to never see them win the World Series.

I've no doubt people have latched onto the Red Sox success, especially in the US (glory hunters if you like) but the Yankees have had that in the UK for as long as i've been following baseball so it's hardly unique.

It's not the Sox I hate so much, it's Boston.
If you come over here, come during the season and I will get us Yanks/Sux tickets at the Stadium.

But man, I hate Boston...

I hate the rotary circles
I hate the accents
I hate the cobblestone streets

I hate that their Clam Chowder is white
I hate the big dig
I hate the horrible airport

I hate the Pats (the team almost moved because they had NO fans, then they win the SB, and everyone acts like they always cared... they didn't)

I hate the way they put an Irish Flag and a Shamrock on everything (wrong country guys...)

I hate the Bruins and how they stole the whalers song

I hate BC, Boston College.  It isn't IN Boston and it is a University, not a College.

I hate Harvard, and how they call it Hawvood

I hate Southie and how everyone who lives their is a yuppie living out their hood dreams

I hate the Pizza in the north end
I hate the Celtics and Larry Bird

I hate New Balance sneakers
I hate Samuel Adams beer
I hate the "tall ships"
I hate Quincy Market

I hate the popcorn, and the chips

I hate the way people who live where I live say they live "Right between Bston and New York".  If you are 20 minutes from Manhattan, and 3 hours from Boston, you aren't in between... sorry.

WOW

That felt good!

Don't get me started on New Hampshire!

I'd love to take you up on the offer, but if I ever get over to the states i'm pretty sure you can guess where my destination would be!

What he said ^^^^^

I've been a baseball fan since the early '90's from watching John Olerud's quest for .400 on "Screensport" (I think that was the channel's name) but did not settle on Boston as my team until my first visit stateside in 1997.

From then until 2004, all my baseball friends (especially the Highlanders fans) thought I was out of my mind to choose the Red Sox of my own free will as an adult.
