there are bleachers and then there are "the bleachers".

The Bleachers are bleacher section 203.

It's the greatest support seats in all of baseball.

It might be a good place to sit if you're out with your mates and having a few beers, however, as a place to watch the actual game from, bleachers stink.

Are they the ones who sing to the players and use the same 2 songs for all the players? And one of them isn't even "one ........ there's only one ......." no imagination these yanks.

edited to add: Although the gang bang song is quite amusing.

In America we don't serenade our players.

Not that I am for or against singing to show support, but we don't really do that over here.

What about the "roll call" by the Highlanders fans in the bleachers ?

"Derek Jeter .. clap clap clap.. Derek Jeter .. clap clap clap.... " etc

that's very far from a song.  we may chant, but we don't song.

I wish we did sing, it probably would add to the fun.

In other news, I just started using twitter.  It's actually really cool for sports scores and updates.  I'm sure your news doesn't cover much MLB.  I would give it a shot.

literally play by play right to your phone.l

I'm surprised that a Marlins fan would take on a Yankee fan in Miami. Surely the home team supporters were outnumbered.

Now playing for Homer Simpson's favourite team, the Albuquerque Isotopes**...... Manny Ramirez !!

Its strange how he's banned from Major League Baseball but can play for a Dodgers' Minor League team

[** Yes, they are named after the Simpsons episode where the team owner tries to move the Springfield Isotopes to Albuquerque]

ESPN America, which was part of the Setanta pack is now being included in the Sky channel packs.

Therefore, in the UK, head over to Channel 417 for your baseball fix !!

Good to see John Smoltz back in action, albeit in a losing performance.

Hopefully I'll get to see one or two Smoltz starts during my visit to Boston starting July 4th weekend.

I will be at Yankee Stadium July 3rd and 4th.

If you are in the area, I may have an extra ticket on the 3rd in a luxury box if my sister has her baby this week and her husband can't go.

Free of charge to those coming from other countries.
