I went to the Parade in my neighborhood yesterday and the little league teams came out.

Little League is baseball for the kids.

Usually the kids all wear different uniforms of different teams. The Indians, Marlins etc.  They wear the Tshirt and the hat.


In my town the Little league has all the MLB teams, but NO redsox team.  Instead they have 3 yankee teams, red, blue, and black.

I always take the piss out of the rags/bitter birds etc when they are relegated by saying they play in the little league.

Joe Morgan in yet another commentary controversy

Having met Joe, he seems like a nice guy (albeit a bit difficult to talk to due to his crossed-eyes). He was also one of the all time great second basemen. However, as a commentator he's truly horrible, unwilling to embrace changes to the sport, getting facts wrong, bringing every story back to himself and, as in the above case, embellishing his involvement in events.

The only commentator that I can think of who's worse than Joe is Tim McCarver.

After sugery on Tuesday, I am getting my hard cast off and soft cast put on on Thursday morning.

Cheap seats at the furthest point away from home base.  Usually just metal bench seats (no back support)

I've only ever sat in the bleachers once, at (what was then called) Jacobs Field in Cleveland, right under the big scoreboard. A horrible place to watch a game, especially on a hot summer afternoon.

Going to just 10-20 games a year I prefer to pay extra for a decent seat.
