There is a huge Wolves one too. My Lad shouted a few hours ago, " Dad, there's a Villa flag on there"

That's right, folks. The grandaddy of them all, the Big Dance is on tonight, live from Orlando.

Who else will be watching it?

Your WrestleMania 24 predictions?

Unfortunately me...

Somehow i let my lad con me into letting him stay up and watch it.

Over to my son Gareth..

MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH to win a Contract for a Future World Title Challenge: Mr Kennedy, Kennedy. CM PUNK or Chris Jericho

CM Punk wins, 1 0 Gareth.

JBL vs FINLAY in a Belfast Brawl: Finlay, to get revenge for Hornswoggle. Finlay to win, because he's going to whack him with his  Shillelagh" ...

JBL, so both wrong. 1 0.

BATISTA vs UMAGA in an Inter-Brand Match: Meh. Umanga (as Regal calls him) to win, and then join Smackdown. UMAGA's 'Samoan Spike over the BATISTA Bomb

Batista won, still 1 0.

24 MAN BATTLE ROYAL to Become the #1 Contender for the ECW Title: Kane. The Great Khali

Kane won. 1 1.

CHAVO GUERRERO vs THE GREAT KHALI for the ECW Title: THE GREAT KHALI.

Kane won, still 1 1.

FLOYD MAYWEATHER vs THE BIG SHOW: Mayweather probably has it in his contract that he's not allowed to lose. Agree

1 1 STILL!

RIC FLAIR vs SHAWN MICHAELS in a Career-Threatening Match: HBK, and then everybody to cry as Naitch has to retire. This will be the Showstopper!
THE NATURE BOY, RIC FLAIR!

HBK, so Tim 2 1.

BETH PHOENIX & MELINA vs ASHLEY MASSARO & MARIA in a LumberJill Tag-Team Match: Ashley & Maria. BETH & MELINA

Beth & Melina, so 2 2.

EDGE vs THE UNDERTAKER for the World HeavyWeight Title: Taker to preserve his unbeaten record, Edge to retain title (via DQ). THE UNDERTAKER to use his new submission maneuver and win the title.

Taker won, with his new submission move so bonus point. 4 2 to Gareth.

RANDY ORTON vs JOHN CENA vs TRIPLE H in a Triple-Threat Match for the WWE Championship: Difficult one to call. I'll go with Orton, to keep the feud going. TRIPLE H

RKO won, so I get the point. So Gareth beat me 4 3!

Be gentle with him TimVilla, he's only nine!

Perhaps he should be gentle with me!

He didnt do to bad did he!

There was no way he was going to sleep when he knew it was on live, so i gave in and let him watch it.
He said one of his favourite moments was when Matt Hardy came in and did the 'Twist of Fate'' on MVP (his favourite wrestlers are the Hardy Bros).

He's really looking forward to seeing some of his heroes at the NIA event on the 16th.

It's not a sport? Fair dos. It's fixed? Yep. If it wasn't WM wouldn't last 4 hours, it would all be over in 20 mins in a very undignified manner.

I assume you hate going to the cinema as the same thing happens every time?

What's wrong with suspending your belief and enjoying it? I had a really good time watching the Money in the Bank match. If you've got a few minutes, watch it (MitB) on youtube (if it's there). Yes it's fixed, but some of the falls they took can't be faked; also watch out for the mistakes: you DEFINITELY can't fake those.

Check out the cage match from a few years ago between 'Mankind' and 'The Undertaker'.

Unbelievable.

Whenever this thread gets bumped, there's always people who have to say that it's shit and then others defend it.

Personally, I catch bits (mainly the Diva's) and I used to watch it for the odd creative storyline or high-risk match but why does it prompt such strong reactions? Surely, if you like it you watch it and if you don't like it, you simply don't give a shit.

OCD - what I never understand is why people have to say they don't like it? What does it add to the topic for those who DO wish to discuss it?

By the way, cheers hawkeye. That may appear sarcy, but it's not.

My son's been watching this today, he tried and failed to stay up last night but was recording it anyway.

As far as I'm concerned it's rubbish and shouldn't be on a sports channel but it's obviously very popular and from the bits I caught in between painting the lobby you have to admire how they can do some of that stuff and not really hurt themselves and each other, a flying back-flip from the top rope onto a ladder is not something you do unless you have trained bloody hard for a long, long time!

My son was in tears when that blonde haired old bloke lost (Rick Flair?) I gather he's some sort of legen in wrestling circles?

Not long back from an amazing Monday Night Raw. Think we got the Villa flag in the very distant upper tier occasionally but certainly nothing as impressive as we managed at Mania!

There was a couple of separate West Ham fans last night, an Arsenal and a Charlton fan at ringside this evening and a few odd kits, but met about 4 or 5 separate Villa supporters across the two nights.

There were 2 lads who weren't together in this year's kit and the lads who caried the St George's cross with the writing across it through the back of shot were Villa fans too. Appears as though we outnumbered all other clubs!

Didn't get a great look at the Wrestlemania recap segment on RAW, but saw enough to see the flag in the shot from the start. Just not sure whether my gormless face was hidden behind it or not! If anyone's got it on Sky+ and can record it to VHS or DVD, that'd be much appreciated. Haven't ordered it and am still going to buy the official DVD but am worried they'll edit all the bits of me out!  \:D/

I recorded it and hid the video before my wife records Desperate Housewives over it! So if the dvd doesn't show you, let me know.

Don't think the boxset's out for a wee while, but if you're happy to keep the tape in hiding until then, that'd be much appreciated.

Unless you're visiting Brum next weekend or London any time soon, in which case I'll come and find you and buy you a few beers as a 'thank you'!
