Deano's - you know Bret Hart's back (for a few months)?

So i've read on here. I hated him, i always wanted him to lose whether he was fighting Mr Perfect or Roddy Piper. Hated him.

Why not a tag match at WM, where his partner can take all the bumps and he can finish (say, VKM off) with the Sharpshooter?

Flicking through SKY channels earlier i noticed a retro WWF/E show - Sgt Slaughter vs Ultimate Warrior at Royal Rumble 91, Warrior ends up hit with "a sceptre right between the eyes" according to the commentators even though it clearly only hit him on the forehead!

What's with the Orton love? His entire career is based on a scowl.

He does a mean head lock, though.

Why Deano?

For a start i always thought he had an attitude problem. Yes he was technically very good but he always had the same matches. He always seemed to hurt his leg within 30 secs of any match, he'd be forced to limp around for the rest of the fight,  take a battering and still win. I rewatched a tag match recently  where he was teamed with Owen Hart where even though once again he was injured he tried to put the sharpshooter on his opponent rather than tag Owen in. He collapsed under the effort, ref blows to stop the match and Owen goes nuts and kicks Bret Hart in the leg. Now Owen Hart according to the storyline obviously became a heel there and then but i fully sympathised with him, all Bret Hart had to do was tag him.

Another reason i guess is that the guy was dressed in pink with hearts all over his tights. if you're camp and prissy like the Model Rick Martel you can get away with it but Bret Hart certainly wasnt either of those.
Also he beat my fave Roddy Piper in an Intercontinental Title Match not long after Roddy had won the belt. And once he became WWF champion Vince McMahon and co bigged him up and centred a lot of story lines around him for a long time. I agree with what Flair said in his book, Hart didnt have the charisma like previous bigger name champions. And like with Manchester United, you can admire their skills and still hate them for being marketed in your face all the time.

Believe me, i could write just as lengthy a piece about people like Hulk Hogan!

I think the best wrestlers are those who are just as convincing as face or heel - The Rock, SCSA, Jericho, Edge, etc. Orton was absolute gash as a face. As you say, he does posture a lot and little else.

Technically he's one of the better wrestlers out there today. He sparks emotion with the audience, and carries other guys through matches and fueds (Cena)

I did enjoy his little hissy fit after Kofi botched the end there, anyone know what happened?

I meant this weeks Triple Threat....Orton, Kofi and Cena.

He went mental shouting 'Stupid, stupid, stupid' Then mouthed to the camera 'He fucked that up'

I'll have a look at that. I must say I didn't notice. Do you remember Mr Kennedy Kennedy's last match with Raw? It was the 5v5 (basketball shirts) match. Kennedy botched a move on Orton and he went mental.
