The post-Katrina NFL and NCAA giveaway of wins to the Saints and LSU is over - they have to compete on a level playing field now because nobody feels sorry for them anymore.

a playoff spot would flatter the Birds too much.

This doesn't really even make sense...

the players aren't from New Orleans, and don'teven live there...

Who "let" them win?

The giants who "let" the saints play a home game AT GIANTS STADIUM?!?!?!

If anything, the other teams took advantage of the situation, and used it against them...

(which they are perfectly allowed to do)

I hope the Titans win the AFC, but I REALLY hope the Dolphins finish with a better record than the Jets.

hey man, I got to be honest...

nothing was fixed for the saints.

They only won 3 games...

Here is  little Bio:

Quote
The 2005 New Orleans Saints season began with the season trying to improve from their 8-8 record from 2004. The Saints played 2 pre-season games in the Louisiana Superdome before being forced to evacuate New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina. They played the rest of the season on the road, splitting their games between their temporary headquarters at San Antonio's Alamodome, and LSU's Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, and even playing their first home game at Giants Stadium. The season ended with the firing of Jim Haslett.

They went 8-8 the year before and only won 3 games the Katrina year.

This team has one of the best QB's, and can't win.

Hey, I love a good football discussion, but your comment didn't make any sense....

Unless the games were fixed to give the saints an unfair advantage to LOSE...

Browns on TV tonight - yeah shabba

on the downside Da Bears need a miracle to win the NFC North after the cardinals didn't show up against the Vikings. (Falcons is a tricky game mind).

Wouldn't bet against the Steelers for the AFC.

I will be at this game in Philly!!!

Also, did anyone notice that the Jets, who everyone thought was so good, finally broke their losing streak with a last minute win against the HORRIBLE Bills playing with a backup QB?!?!?!?

The Titans will still win the onference.  It is good they got a lose or two out of the way.  They are already playing lie champs.  This lose will slam them back to earth and they will improve.

If the Dolphins don't make the playoffs, I will root for the Titans with you.

Bet you enjoyed the game last night then.

Every time the Browns would run their first down, have they never heard of play action?? Also they apparently didn't realise that the Eagles blitz a lot - screen plays would have been useful, anything rathar than 3 and long with no protection for the quarter-back.

No wonder Romeo is getting the sack.

Rant over.

Well, they were playing with a 3rd string QB.

I watched until about midway through the Third Quarter and didn't think he played that badly though. (Crosey his name??).

Westbrook was all over the place as usual - great player
