What do my fellow Bears fans think about trading away both Quinn and now Smith? Presume we are giving up on this year but hoping to contend in 23 or more likely 24.

I'm not sure. Not overly worried about basically writing this season off as I never expected us to be competitive. However, lots of draft picks don't necessarily mean you end up with lots of good players. Would have been tempted to keep at least one of them.

Roquan doesn't seem like a fit for our Defence now. Needs big DLinemen to cue off behind and we don't have that now weplay 4-3.

Probably could have traded Robert Quinn earlier (end of last season), to get better value for him. But he was 32 and not getting a new deal with us. Saves us 27M over next 2 years.

Claypool coming on board shows how the GM believes in Fields I think and that we will probably be cheaper on Defence than Offence going forward.

Expect us to be a bit Lions for the rest of the season. Poor on Defence and pretty good on Offence.

Bringing in Claypool does free us up to take either 3-Tech DLine or OLine early in 2023 Draft. Best available. Need a Centre too, but doubt we use a 1st Rounder on that position.

Nice to see the Lions, or more or less anyone beat the Packers.

Oh and Fields is amazing.

Fields, yes! Chuffed for him and you guys.

Bears or the Lions to overtake the Packers this season?? Still fancy the Bears for the playoffs. I know CD thinks I'm mad 😂

No chance, our Defence is pish. Only stopped the Dolphjns when Tua missed wide open players. But I don't care, this year is about Fields developing and next year we can improve WR, OLine and Defence (well DLine and LBs).

Sounds like the 49ers might be in the mix for OBJ.

Cowboys and Bills also linked.

I've got money on your Bears now to make the playoffs! I completely understand your feelings on the matter:)

As for OBJ, yes please.

Yes! Wow.

Packers Cowboys isn't a bad game either. Think I just about prefer the Cowboys, though it's like choosing between Blues and Liverpool.

Kyle Shanahan is not good for my heart, tolerance or patience levels.

I'm convinced he is Gerrard wearing a big cap.

Go for it and kicking for 3!!!

Is it true that the Clit-Bay Bummers gave a thorough beating to the Vulva Delta Prostates?

I hear they spiked them in the jockstrap.

(No offence, Axl)
