Seahawks v Raiders @ Wemberleee on Sunday

Will any other H&V'ers be in attendance ?

My Raiders are so shit that I might forego my Marcus jersey and go with some Sox garb

Pre Game entertainment for the Raiders game at Wemberleee is from someone called Jess Glynne.

I have genuinely never heard of someone who is referred to in the blurb as "one of the most successful British musicians of her generation".

Based the the standard of the previous entertainment before these games, I'm not expecting much

Hmmm, I wonder if you'll be singing her song...

Usually I would be but all my NFL funds went on the New England trip this year.

Just checked my list of games attended to see when I was at Foxboro.

Bills @ Pats on 19 Sep 2006. Pats won 19-17 on a Safety

http://www.espn.co.uk/nfl/game?gameId=260910017

It was my 7th regular season NFL game/ This weekend will be my 27th

The first 7 were all in the USA. The next 19 were all in London.
Hopefully I'll get to see some more games in the USA in the future

Wanted to go to a game this year, but got pissed off with the NFL's tout-friendly ticket policy and thought "fuck it".

Have a good day, to anyone that is going.

Not going as skint, but whilst neither team are world beaters, it looks like a fairly even game.

I missed the first ticket window this year but thought I'd be ok for Seahawks-Raiders when it went on sale a few weeks back but couldn't get through. Can't afford a season ticket and the second hand market prices are ridiculous.

Yeah. They need to clamp down on the touts next season. Tried to buy single game tickets for the Jags game, they had sold out of any that were three together within about ten minutes of going on sale, then five minutes later they were all available on various legalised theft sites for about five hundred each.

Well interesting weekend in College football with just about everyone bar Alabama and Clemson ballsing it up or winning narrowly. Plenty of scope for the play off picture to change.

I've tried before to understand the college game but it just seems too complicated, to me. I think I gave up when I saw that the Big Ten had twelve teams while the Big Twelve had ten. Or some such nonsense.

When I first got into it 3 years ago it took me pretty much the whole of the first season to work out what the fuck was going on. You’re right though it is the most convoluted piece of subjective fuckwittery to distil the season into 4 semi finalists from 5 Big Leagues plus independents and 5 smaller leagues. Don’t get me started on how you qualify for a post season bowl game. Doing some research last year it seems suggestions have been put forward to rationalise the whole structure but as colleges compete in different sports Football isn’t the only factor so it’s likely it’ll never happen.

I suppose having a convoluted system creates acres of opportunity for TV to endlessly overanalyse so maybe method in the madness.

I recruited the Seahawks defence for my fantasy team this weekend, looking like a good investment...

There might be a lot of Seahawks fans at Wembley but I wonder how many of them helped out with the testing of their stadium in Seattle before it officially opened.........I did 😀
