Would say Da Bears have 5 winnable games now, then 2 really tough games to finish off with. Looks like we'll finish behind Detroit after they basically have a 2 game advantage over us. Think we should have brought McCown in earlier than we did really.

Nice to see that the Packers are a one man team.... ;)

I thought Tolzien showed promise yesterday and might be the long-term understudy to Aaron. He's obviously still too raw right now though.

To be fair he probably hadn't practised any plays before either, so he'll probably be better in your next game.

I was hoping you'd bite about being a 1-man team tbh  ;)

I know there's a few Bears fans around so I expect there to be a bit of banter now and then. Right now we're ripe for it. When Seneca Wallace went off with a Groin injury I really had no idea what we were going to do.

Tampa beat Miami, so there's no longer any teams without a win

If McCown had been injured whilst we were playing the Washington R******s the other week, our wide receiver Earl Bennett would have been the quarter back. Now we have some other bloke as a backup.

I bet Tampa Bay fans were delighted that Jacksonville won. Have to say that I still think the Jag's are a lot worse than Tampa or the Vikings.

Jordan Palmer and his career 15 pass attempts for the Bungles. Better known for being Carson's little brother

Hadn't realised he is Carson Palmer's brother.

Seneca Wallace has been put onto the Injury Reserve list, but the Packers have re-signed Flynn. Guess we will find out whether his elbow really is dodgy now.

Todd Christensen, NFL player with the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders during their early 1980's glory days; dead at 57 during a liver transplant operation

I became a Raiders fan whilst he was with the team. My father worked at Xerox in El Segundo, CA; which was also the home of the Raiders practice facility.

How do our Bears fans feel about Sam Hurd ?

http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/7360493/chicago-bears-cut-sam-hurd

Quote
Hurd was arrested Wednesday night after authorities said he agreed to buy a kilogram, or 2.2 pounds, of cocaine from an undercover agent. A criminal complaint says Hurd, a sixth-year player in his first year with the Bears, wanted to set up a drug-distribution network in the Chicago area and that he took possession of the cocaine before being arrested.

Hurd's just been sentenced

15 years

I can't say I remember him at all, he's only 28 and was playing for us at the time of the offences. Mind you, until the last few seasons our wide receivers were always completely forgettable.

This is a long way off but next season would any of you NFL types be interested in joining a fantasy football league? I'll set it up, we'll have an online draft, max 14 teams. I'm in one proper one out where we meet up in person and do the draft. Obviously this would be an online version, for a bit of fun and bragging rights off course.
