Buendia starts?! Hmmm.

Our bench is very weak. Sancho must still be sick or unfit.

Disappointing lack of "oh, I remember him!" players in the Feyenoord side. I thought that was pretty much the point of the Europa League.

Ahmedhodžić who spent a few years being a bit rubbish in defence for Sheffield Utd being the only one I reckon.

Someone's forgotten Gladstone Small, Miranda Sawyer and Mustapha Hadji in a hurry. I can only see the last names and I haven't got my glasses on but I expect to be proven entirely correct. There appears to be a Spice Girls song at centre-half too. As well as Frank Butcher.

What the hell is wrong with you, Dave?

Buendia starts?! Hmmm.

Starting a player who was excellent in his last appearance doesn’t seem a particularly wild option to me.

Given we have 5 out, that’s a decent starting 11 and the bench is t that bad.

The point being that some of us recognise that he’s had better games coming on as a sub with 30 minutes to go rather than starting games.

Well if we had brought him on with half an hour to go on Sunday he wouldn't have scored. Players play well, reward them. Buendia should obviously start today after Sunday.

Yes gambling companies are already banned in a fair few places so I think most teams change for the whole competition because it's simpler.

I was bemoaning refs not being strong on their initial decisions when sent to the screen, so my only moan is why today. Still not the worst VAR decision today though.

Think it's a good decision too. Away from goal.

That’s my opinion too.

Yeah I don’t think it’s a red.

You can make either argument so fair enough to stick with initial decision either way.

Yeah, that too. Subjective at best. No way it's a red on review considering that.

Guessand needs to do more defensively.

And all the other bits.

😄 Competition winner in all honesty. We settled a bit there last 5-10 mins. Out of possession we are a bit of rabble again. Not helped by Rogers giving away possession in dangerous areas constantly. That left flank of Maatsen/Buendia is too weak defensively, Maatsen needs a Ramsey like athlete in front of him.
Fortunate to be 0-0 after a very good start, that red card is given at Villa Park. Watkins has been sharp as has Torres. Kamara fine in possession but not providing much of a defensive screen in front of the centre backs. Buendia looks very sharp on the ball to be fair to him.

Guessand will come off anyway, might aswell give Elliot a go on right. Could try McGinn left and bring Bogarde into the middle. Buendia at 10 and Rogers hooked too.

Ollie was very good, we need to get the ball out to him quicker, he looks well up for it. The back four, especially Torres and Maatsen have been very good. Bizot very commanding too.

Rogers trying, but the simple things go very wrong and we lose possession and also a chance to attack.

Buendia is playing well, tidy on the ball and working hard.

Weirdly the back 4 are playing really well whilst at the same time looking like they might concede at any moment

People moaning that VAR didn't look at the goal like they did when reviewing the potential red card. Fuck them. If VAR could review after the ref calls a foul, we would be in the Champions League and not playing tonight.

Or if Bizot had been playing instead of Martínez

Feels like the back five are doing their jobs, Ollie and Emi are doing their jobs and it's the other four  who aren't doing enough to get / keep the ball in the right third of the pitch.

Apparently the club have sent out someone to find Guessand. He's probably in the queue for a hot dog with the rest of the spectators.

How many times has he had the ball? We just do not pass to him, it is as there is a feeling amongst the other players not to give it him.

Bizot……Motm …..easy
He's been great but Torres is in the mix as well.
Both have been superb tonight.

I think the team have given up on Guessand, only pass to him as a last resort. Don’t trust his first touch or his ability to read the flight of the ball.

That’s the difference Pau can make.

The slating Pau got last season makes me cringe.

He was crap last season. Looks back to his old self this year. Back ahead of Mings for me. Konsa looking as strong as I've seen him too. They look better as a pair.

I hate it when referees book both players involved in handbags when only one of them has done anything wrong.

It's a lazy cop out.

He's been ok second half. Has won ball back high up the pitch a few times. Doesn't look like much of a footballer with the ball.
