A bit disappointed no Malen to start the game given his great pre seasom. But that’s a solid side. The bench looks very thin indeed.

Probably favouring the box midfield more than a wide man.
-
Win please.
-
Christ that bench is depressing.
-
Interesting selection from Emery .
Bench doesn't look as strong as last season .
-
A bit disappointed no Malen to start the game given his great pre seasom. But that’s a solid side. The bench looks very thin indeed.
3 academy players and about £180m of signings doesn't scream thin to me.
-
McGinn right, Youri central, Morgan left I assume.
-
Nans hair playing up front for them with Elanga and Barnes either side.
-
The bench depth isn’t what it was last season attacking options-wise, unless Guessand hits the ground running.
-

Bench doesn't look as strong as last season .
Although not having Marcus Rashford and Asensio will do that to a bench.
-
We all could have names the team beforehand.
Bench suddenly looks very short on quality
-
Captain Miles Behind asks: Martinez?

Look at the benches we had at the end of last season compared to this one. We will be relying on the kids a lot more this season. Hopefully they can prove themselves at this level quickly. Obviously once Emi, Barkley, one or two new signings get back to will improve. Let’s see how it goes.
-
Captain Miles Behind asks: Martinez?
Suspended.
-
It's exactly the side I expected as we have the extra central midfielder to nullify theirs. Bench is a tad thin, although some talent there. Not sure Buendia offers much, we do have Barkley to come back but we need a couple of signings to push the quality up.
-
Captain Miles Behind asks: Martinez?
Been sold at Villa 4 Lifes request.
-
Captain Miles Behind asks: Martinez?
Suspended.
Ah, from the sending off at the end of last season, yes...
-

I rate Buendia higher than Barkley tbh
-

YT back at 10 id say. Surprising selection there and at LCB particularly!
-
That's the line-up I'd have gone for given Newcastle's physicality. Hopefully, Evann can come off the bench to apply the coup de grâce.
-

Yes they will be trying to kick us off the park
-

Yes, him Malen and Maatsen offer good pace options later on from the bench.
-
So our senior players missing are Martínez, García and Barkley....is that it?
Moreno, Donk and Bailey are wantaway and don't count.
-
I hope we’re not going to try and battle their midfield. If we do that I think we’ll lose. We beat them last time basically by bypassing their midfield and negating it in the main.
-
Couldn't they get JJ to play a half with each team and make up his mind at 3pm who he likes best?
-
Newcastle XI: Pope, Trippier, Schar, Burn, Livramento, Tonali, Joelinton, Guimaraes, Barnes, Gordon, Elanga.
Subs: Hall, Botman, Thiaw, Krafth, Osula, Murphy, Seung-soo, Miley, Ramsdale
-
Does no Bailey on the bench mean he’s certain to leave?
Looks like the full backs will be pushing up today!
-
Longest queue I've ever seen outside the Holte but ony took ten minutes. Fair enough.
-
Does no Bailey on the bench mean he’s certain to leave?
Looks like the full backs will be pushing up today!
Expected to sign for Roma early next week
-
It’s annoying we don’t really have someone to go at Trippier.
-
That top they're warming up in is nasty.
-
Strong starting team, and the bench has some really good alternatives to mix it up. No problem with matchday squad, they just have to get focused on doing the simple things well and exploit the periods of dominance.
Big challenge will be for our fullbacks particularly.
-
Obviously, no ones told the kids on duty, that you don't pour a pin̈t of Guinness, the same as a pint of cider.
-
Yes you do!
-

Not a good start! Send the ratings on after 3 or 4 of them
-
I’m out at a family do… does anyone have a new river link please? The old ones have run dry.
-
Surprised Hemings didn’t make the bench given he stood out in pre season
-
After one too pls, cheers!
-
Surprised Hemings didn’t make the bench given he stood out in pre season
Agreed, although Emery has shown some reticence in bringing in the youngsters. Also, it's going to be quite a physical game, I suspect.
-
I wonder if that is SJM's nephew? The lad with the very special glasses. if so, lovely to see. Tyrone bringing his own children out as mascots.
-
It's a shame TNT didn't see fit to show the tribute to Ozzy.
-
fucking hate Ally McCunt, crap pundit.
-
well done goalie
-
Great save. Perfect start for a new goalie.
-
Impressive screw-up in central defence there
-
1st shot on target not a goal.
-
Anthony Gordon appears to have spent the summer working out how to make himself look even more ridiculous.
-
Impressive screw-up in central defence there
Pau's too soft.
-
no one can control it
-
Falling over each other in that attack too. Better communication needed...
-
Usual quality from cash!
-
All a little frenetic...
-
Listening on the radio. Just heard the first "a poor ball by Matty Cash." We're back!
-
too much over hititng too
-
Does Bizot really need the M as part of the name on the back of his kit? Asking for a friend.
-
Got to be better there Morgan.
-
Well, it ain’t walking football..
-
FTF!!!!!!!!
-
That's a bloody good chance for them. good job Gordon can't head a ball.
-
We're getting caned here, they are quicker to much more
-
Poor on the right there, far too easy for them to get a cross in.
Take the diving boots off lads.
-
two players going for the same ball
-
So bloody sloppy at the moment. My theory about lack of turnover meaning we’d be well drilled and understand our roles looks to be bollocks at the moment.
-
two players going for the same ball
3rd time already today and we're not even 15 minutes in...
-
everyone always goes down Cash side
-
well done goalie
-
Good save, but slow to react from the set piece.
We need to liven the fuck up here.
-
Bizot looking very competent. The rest, not so much.
-
Bizot doing well.
-
Bizot looking solid, more so than Olsen
-
Bizot is doing well. The rest look like they’ve had no preseason.
We are constantly gifting them the ball.
-
will someone put their foot on the ball
-
this is a little uncomfortable.
-
Rogers is terrible at the moment, come on Morg step it up
-
Remind me, are we the home side here?...
-
Given that there are no new outfielders, we're very disjointed; looks like they haven't played together before.
Bizot inspires confidence
-
I said before the game we need to bypass their midfield not try to play through it.
-
Lost the midfield completely, not too good all over actually.
-
We are too slow all over the park. When we do get the ball we are so slow in moving it they are all back.
-
I don't much enjoy our constant quest to keep every first half at 0-0.
-
passing is rubbish
-
Surprised Ramsey hasn't been mentioned yet...
-
I said before the game we need to bypass their midfield not try to play through it.
A certain Spanish centre back is good at those sort of passes.
-
the kind of game you need an Asensio get on the ball
-
Don’t pass it around the back when you’re not switched on.
Our midfield three are doing nowhere near enough.
-
Hate this fcukin around at the back business. It’s definitely going to cost us a few goals conceded this season.
-
I said before the game we need to bypass their midfield not try to play through it.
A certain Spanish centre back is good at those sort of passes.
Don’t need it…
-
This is a load of soapy old dog wank.
-
We have zero width which just plays into their hands. They want us going through the middle.
-
We're far too narrow going forward.
-
Must say this is pretty shocking, we look firmly bottom half here.
-
Sloppy passing is killing us.
-
Sloppy passing is killing us.
Was just about to say the same.
-
How is the passing so bad? From players who know each other so well, against a press that's doing exactly what it always does, and we look as shit as we usually do at their gaff except this time we're at home. There's no excuse for this.
-
Bizot has been pretty solid. The Olsen wobbles seem to have gone. if only he can get the players in front of him to sort themselves.
-
This can be our bad half
-
So very slow and sloppy all over the pitch.
-
We are playing terribly at the moment. Sloppy and disjointed.
-
Continued our form against Man Utd last season. Can't pass and can't deal with their press.
-
Everyone knows it but our lack of pace is a real problem.
0 attempts in 30 mins.
-
Lack of pace and sloppy passing is hurting us. can't get out of our own half, and stay out.
-
can we have a bit more from our players then ie cash
-
Cash roaring at the crowd for the glory of not giving away a corner feels a bit small-time.
-
Pre season confidence is ebbing away…
-
Better from villa but a lack of bodies in the box.
-
The walking football has been retained.
-
Poor not to be able to engineer a shit from that opportunity.
-
worse passing Ive seen
-
SJM given the ball away far too much today so far.
-
Poor not to be able to engineer a shit from that opportunity.
Yeah, it was cack!!
-
Early days, but this passing is unacceptable. Far too many unforced errors.
-
Poor not to be able to engineer a shit from that opportunity.
I felt much the same this morning.
-
Who's McGinn playing for today
-
Been pleasantly surprised at Craig Pawson's unfussy refereeing
-
Can we PLEASE stop passing to the opposition. It really isn't helping.
-
McGinn has had a stinker so far.
-
Are there too many who know they are going to be picked? Needs some of them out of the team to shake them up.
-
Think that's first time I've heard Nick Pope's name today...
-
Woeful stuff this.
-
Rogers not having the best of games yet either.
-
£50 million for Onana. Complete waste of a shirt...
-
No shot on target yet?
-
Poor not to be able to engineer a shit from that opportunity.
I felt much the same this morning.
It's like we're playing like we've gone for a shit without our phone. Going through the motions but joyless and uninspiring.
-
Fucking Cash.
-
bit of shocker this
other than the goalie its dreadful
-
No shot on target yet?
I guess that cross from Cash would have gone in had Pope not caught it.
-
£50 million for Onana. Complete waste of a shirt...
Your "Villa are playing poorly" alarm must have gone off.
-
Zero attempts on goal is terrible
-
im pining for Buendia all of a sudden.
-
My 4-6 dream prediction seems unlikely at this point. Or the second half is going to be a thriller.
-
blimey joelinton gets a early card for a change
-
bizot very good
the rest WAKE UP
-
Lucky to be 0-0, midfield is too slow and sloppy.
-
That's our bad half out the way.
-
To put it mildly we have been abysmal.
Replica of the last day of last season, we are very lucky to be going in at 0-0.
We have no control whatsoever in the game so we badly need to get some pace on the pitch. Not sure how long Guessand can manage but there is no excuse not to get Maatsen and Malen on, they've been in our set up long enough and need to be trusted given how bad the starting 11 has been.
-
And pre-season optimism quickly evaporates - were lucky Isak is on strike!
-
SHARRON THIS IS SHIT
-
Unbalanced formation. No width and Tielemans and Togers out of position. Only really suits McGinn. Battled hard against a physical side with a high press which stopped us building from the back.
-
0 shots.
-
Malen or Guessand on please. Need some pace to quicken this up. Too pedestrian which is making things too easy for them. They have all the time in the world to set themselves up desensively and our passing is too shit to play through them.
-
Some terrible basics especially passing.
-
Bizot only player with credit there - the rest miles off it. I thought before the game it was a mistake to try and compete with them in midfield and nothing has changed my mind. We should be trying to bypass their midfield - and the limited pace we have is on the bench.
Really poor, have to be loads better in the second half.
-
Unbalanced formation. No width and Tielemans and Togers out of position. Only really suits McGinn. Battled hard against a physical side with a high press which stopped us building from the back.
Sounds uncomfortable.

After a pre-season with Nice and a couple of weeks with us he shouldn't physically be much different from the rest of them.
-
If this doesn't get significantly better in the second half it will call into question the way we spent pre season.
-
Made for Guessand's strength and Malen's movement. Get Onana and Rogers off.
-
Right, we were utter shit that half. Against a team sharper in the finish we could be buried already. But we aren't, we've got away with it and have a second chance
Got a feeling words are being spoken in a Basque accent right now...
-

He’s made a right balls of that post.
-
Not at it at all. Very poor passing and link up. For me pre-season wasn't the best especially the decision to do two games in two different countries last weekend and not really playing enough with the likely starting/match day squad. So we look like we haven't played with each other for a while...
-
Sloppy, lethargic crap - we look like we just started pre-season. Bizot looks great, thankfully.
-

Not going up the right channels at all...

The performance so far is certainly bollocks...
-
Absolutely atrocious performance so far. One of the worst 1st half passing displays ive seen at home for years.
Painful watching at times. Only biz leaves with any credit. Surely he has to change this straight away
-
Zero shots on goal in the first half for the first time since March 22 according to Sky Sports.
-
Sloppy, lethargic crap - we look like we just started pre-season. Bizot looks great, thankfully.
Agree - in way it is the start of pre-season as the actual pre-season didn't really work as a set up for the season.
-
Oh my God. What a poor first half - fucking depressing that was. All the hype!
I’m on a cruise in the middle of the Mediterranean and thankfully there is a Sports bar and it’s full of wanker reds (not from Liverpool of course).
I watched the entertainment of their match last night compared to the crap just served up by us. SUE needs a haircut too.
Urggghhh please don’t let them win lads or a 0-0.
-
At least we haven't conceded. Bizot played well.
-
Well we got away with that so far. Seem to be half a yard of the pace right across the park.
They’ve played aggressively and we’ve barely been about to string 3 passes together. We lose possession too easily.
Watkins isolated, Teilemans and McGinn in particular have been sloppy.
-
We need to change shirts at HT.
-
Absolutely atrocious performance so far. One of the worst 1st half passing displays ive seen at home for years.
Hyperbole much?
-
We need someone running past Frankenstein’s Dan Burn.
-
Zero shots on goal in the first half for the first time since March 22 according to Sky Sports.
Aston Villa are the first team to not have a shot in the first half of a Premier League home game since Fulham v Man City in May 2024 (never happened last season)
-
On a positive note, we have often conceded early against Newcastle me thinks, this time we have not.
-
No one comes out of that with much credit, Bizot aside. Lucky to be level. We’re too slow and we’re giving it away far too much.
-
I'd take Onana off and push Tielemans deeper, bring on Guessand, Malen or Buendia (in that order of preference)
-
Terrible first half, we've gone to sleep, awful passing, what is this ponderous way of playing out from defence, has to change for the second half, Uni has to get into the players and wake them bloody up, coasting into a defeat, Onana off now, Mcginn of on the hour mark, Newcastle very flat at the back, resolute, but if you have the skill set and killer pass you can easily break through that, Evann on, he has that in him, give Bailey a shot we need somebody to run at them, thank goodness Isak isn't playing...Wow!
-
Absolutely atrocious performance so far. One of the worst 1st half passing displays ive seen at home for years.
Hyperbole much?
Love how you quote only my post (and only post in match thread) as it echos most of the thread but no suprise there
-

Yep utterly bizarre given there’s been no turnover in the squad.

I didn’t see anyone else say something so extreme.
-
Our good half / bad half pattern usually goes: good followed by bad. When was the last time we did a bad followed by good?
Another bad omen: I'm in Mexico and the last time i was in Mexico for the opening day Newcastle spanked us and Mings did his ACL.
-

Might want to pop to vision express
-
Terrible Bizot MOTM so far, which says it all.
-
Terrible Bizot MOTM so far, which says it all.
He’s fighting an uphill battle if that’s his first name.
-
Our total lack of pace and width is allowing them to press the living crap out of us in our own half.
I'd get Malen on.
-

Right, so this is all your fault. FFS Joe.
-
We can’t pass to a claret shirt whilst they plough through our midfield like a knife through butter.
Seem very soft & lacking in confidence.
-
On a positive note, we have often conceded early against Newcastle me thinks, this time we have not.
Usually at their ground but a villa park we create some opportunities. Its been a poor half up there with the manure 1st half
-

I didn’t see anyone else say something so extreme.
In fairness, we didn't have a shot and only got into their box about twice. I don't think that will have happened ever under Unai so it isn't that hyperbolic. That is not a first half that bodes well, it all look very one-paced and stale.
-
Our total lack of pace and width is allowing them to press the living crap out of us in our own half.
I'd get Malen on.
Yup and it’s really obvious. It also makes it daft to try and play around at the back to draw their press.

I think I was in Mexico then too.
-
I must say though, Tonali and Barnes have been good for them.
-
Malen and Guessand on for Onana and McGinn, get Rogers more central and drop Tielemans deeper.
-
Another bad omen: I'm in Mexico and the last time i was in Mexico for the opening day Newcastle spanked us and Mings did his ACL.
FFS Joe. What's wrong with Gran Canaria?

All true, but it’s 0-0. We’ve had far worse experiences against these to start the season.
-
We’ve given them way too much respect and allowed them to have too much of the ball. Just imagine if Isak was up front for them. We’d be a couple down. I don’t understand why we set up this way so I’m hoping it’s a lot more of us second half
-
What Newcastle want is opposition to battle them and play through midfield - we’re giving them exactly what they want.
-
the two better players in pre season malen and buendia will be looking at that first half thinking how did I not get a start . .
anyway second half.......
-
On target. Good effort.
-
chance there

We've had loads of tepid first half's at Villa Park under Unai and gone on to win in the second. Keep the faith.
-

anyway second half.......
Malen has to become more involved at some point, paid 20m for him and he’s on 140k/wk.
-
watkins should have been played in there then, waste ,
-
That's better, great cross.
-
Absolutely atrocious performance so far. One of the worst 1st half passing displays ive seen at home for years.
Hyperbole much?
TBF, he is correct about it being one of our worst passing displays for years.
Villa registered a pass success rate of just 72.9 per cent in that half - a long way below their average of 85.3 per cent last season.
-
We are so narrow, no speedy winger, by the time we get it forward they have packed the defence.
-
Trying to beat the press now but Bizots passing not as good.
-
We are so narrow, no speedy winger, by the time we get it forward they have packed the defence.
Yep, every time. So frustrating.
-
cash oh dear
-
Fucking Cash.
-
cash oh dear
mcginn didn’t run, the ball was actually decent.
-

Right, so this is all your fault. FFS Joe.
FFS PJ, why why why?
-
McGinn is having a shocker.
-
Cash thinks it's funny FFS.
-
Cash really, really needs to be our second choice right back. They fact he's still a nailed-on starter is slightly depressing.
-
what a ball no one there
-
how is no one attacking that cross..?!
-
That corner is a great illustration- no communication at all.
-
Great ball in but no fucker there. WAKE UP!!!
-
Ref has been unfair to Rogers all day.
-
I am waiting for “ and there it is” from you boys and girls
-
8 second rule for goalie what about free kicks from the goalie
-
That corner was brilliant - why no one there? No wonder he's pissed off.
-
The plus side of no new signings is the players should know each other inside out. We look like we've never played together.
I'll call this first: a season too far for SJM.
-
Shite - 3 players there and all lost out.
There is no bastard way were scoring a goal here.
-
Good defending by Burn. For us.
-
newcastle doing the two for the bal now
-
Malen will change the game when he comes on.
-
he forced him to make that decision
-
The linesman got persuaded by Burn there to change his mind
-
That should be a booking for Gordon.
-
8 second rule for goalie what about free kicks from the goalie
Game is stopped officially so ref can add that time on. When keeper is holding it during live play he can't.
-
Decent
-
Konsa red card
-
cash fault with that awful cross
-
Dickhead
-
Bloody Torres
-
Well looks like we might see Torres Mings partnership now.
-
Just as we looked like getting some kind of foothold in the game.
I'd settle for a 0-0 now.
-
Konsa you fucking dope.
-
That was down to a shit ball in from Cash.
-
Absolute brain fart.
-
Fuck. Off.
-
That was down to a shit ball in from Cash.
Sure was.
-
no idea why we hadnt made subs neither
-
What did Konsa expect
-
Bloody idiot Konsa.
-
Take a bow Matt cash, that came from your wank cross. stupid from konsa.
-
Take the fookin draw now
-
From bad to worse. Dear oh dear.
-
Well that's pissed on our potatoes, hasn't it?
-
Very soft for me, not much contact really.
-
What a fucking idiot, Konsa. From a terrible Cash cross, Konsa used none of his experience to help us defend a break.
Fucking idiot.
-
Konsa you twat.
-
Blaming cash is hilarious
-
Never fucking learn do we?
-
Are these really the two teams that finished 5th and 6th last season?...
-
That was down to a shit ball in from Cash.
what an awful ball by cash , done the same with manure llast game for martinez
-
How many of the first-choice defence can we get serving suspensions simultaneously?
-
Very soft for me, not much contact really.
It’s a red card everyday.
-
Very soft for me, not much contact really.
Was there much needed? As soon as ref called it the only thing stopping it being red was an offside or a very obvious contact with the ball and there was none.
-
Sums up our performance, just looks miles off it.
-

-
We set up wrong from the start. Way too passive. Didn’t need to give them that much of the ball. And now a man down we are going to hang on for dear life hoping to get a point
-
We look like a team who needed a pre-season. Awful.
-
How many of the first-choice defence can we get serving suspensions simultaneously?
At the moment we're on one, aren't we?
-
Very soft for me, not much contact really.
It’s a red card everyday.
It's enough. Gordon knew exactly what to do as soon as the contact was sufficient
-
decision making is terrible today
-
Cash's fault lol. Match thread never fails to deliver.
-
We cannot continue with the three stooges at the back. There’s a Fcuk up every week.

I'm including Emi.

Of course he did, but Konsa knew the player was Gordon.
-
Interesting we haven't brought on Torres yet.

Identical to Watkins running in front of Andersen against Fulham last season. You're either away or you draw the foul.
-
Kamara dropped back?
-
Blaming cash is hilarious
He wasn't the immediate cause of the red card, but we had the ball in a good attacking position and he did his usual thing when he gets in the final third and floated an aimless ball into the middle that was more like a great clearance for the Saudis.
He's a liability going forward.
-
We need pace on so they can’t just chuck people forward.
-
New season same shit
-
Such lazy defending by Konsa.
-
Interesting we haven't brought on Torres yet.
Yes, the obvious sub out would seem to be Kamara as he's on a yellow and more or less subbing in that role right now
-

But as soon as Konsa's suspension starts, his finishes.
So it's one for this game and (at time of writing) one for the next.
-
Brave to not put Torres on here.
-
New season same shit
So 4th or 6th this season then?
-

Yep I'd be very upset if it wasn't red if it was the other way around.
-
watkins slack there and nearly hit us for it.
-
Rogers, Watkins and McGinn have been useless in attack.
-

Ridiculous. He crossed a ball to the top of the box and they countered, it happens. A winger who’s playing as a lone striker today walks in between two flat footed CBs - that’s the problem. Out of your mind.
-
I don't think Konsa gets enough abuse compared to the other defenders.
-
New season same shit

Then you woke up 😂

I agree. Every season something seems to happen to give them the edge. Mings injury and out for the season. Last season Jhon Duran's controversial sending off. Will it ever end?
-
That was all on Cash not Konsa.
-
This is going to be even more one sided for the last 20 minutes isn't it? Will be miserable to watch.
-

Konsa didn’t have a good pre season. I commented a few times how he was caught on the ball or poor passes getting us into trouble. He’s very good when he’s on his game but there has been complacency creeping in.
-
That was all on Cash not Konsa.
No it wasn’t.
-

If every poor ball into the box = one of your players getting sent off, most games would be abandoned by half-time due to lack of players.
-
That was all on Cash not Konsa.
No it wasn’t.
It’s all on Cash if that’s what your bias against Cash has you believe. He’s not perfect but he doesn’t half get blamed for a lot of things. Him and Torres.
-
It was a poor ball into the box. Konsa was caught out.

Well the end of last season was a relief when you gave up posting on here. Of course we were winning almost every match then so that was probably the reason.

The difference being that Torres is excellent at aspects of the game.
-

cash put us right in the shit with that awful pass so agree.
-
Either way it's grim viewing and we need something drastic to turn the tide here
-
New season same shit

I know always against newcastle. 2 reds in 3 games vs them. We love shooting ourselves in the foot.
-
That would make it Konsa's fault. If he was anticipating a good ball in from Cash, he hasn't been watching Villa the last few seasons.
-
Bollicks, he left us wide open with a shit pass. He’ll apologise to Konsa after this.
-

That pass ended up on the edge of the box. To blame him for a red card over the player caught out of position who then put his arm on a player he knows would go down is laughable.
-

He put a ball to the top of the box from the end line, you’re acting like it was a failed back pass at the top of our 18.

I was here of course posting so as usual making up lies and rubbish (and crying)
You will never change keep it up 😂
Also 0-0 isnt a losing score just in case uou wasnt aware
-
What is the end line, and what is the top of the box?
-
I would take the spawniest of goals to win this now. Given our history at Villa Park against them it would be 2 big points dropped. Our start to the season isn’t that hard so we need to get points on the board before it gets trickier.
-
Malen on for SJM

It really would be bitter sweet and if it was .mings
-
The challenge on Watkins that was just waved away is why I think the red was harsh, there was just as much contact, and there has been for loads of challenges all game.
And that on McGinn is far worse.
Ref has just been really quick to give fouls on Barnes and Gordon, who needs little encouragement to throw themselves to the floor.

Shooting ourselves in the foot with controversial sending off? Fuck me you have a strange negativity about the club you choose to follow.
-
It would be all sweet if it was Mings
-
who ever fault it is konsa or Cash , its still been a poor performance all round.
-

You know it is quite easy to see the gap between March and June in your posts. As for your last line, I'm glad you realise it isn't a losing score because your posts don't reflect it.
-
Decent effort Malen
-
thats why malen should have been on HT
-
A lot was made of our leaky defence last season, but it was Goals For that also really cost us, way down on the season before. It's concerning that this doesn't seem to have been addressed in preseason and we are still looking blunt in attack.
-
Brilliant pass by kamara world class

Yawn keep your conspiracy theories to yourself
The usual nonesense that no one cares about this. This Is a match thread keep it about the game thanks
-
Young lad who's never started and has been banging them in all summer. What could go wrong?
-
6 added mins
-
rogers trods on the ball with a good break,
-
Why does Rogers keep falling over?
-
Played Bizot
-
My weird brain keeps reading Bizot as Guzan for some reason
-
trying to break his arm there
-

As long as it's the late period O'Neill version rather than the Lambert one, that's fine.
-

If he plays a goal kick backwards he will be.
-
you cant drop bizot :)
-
fantastic point considering how shite we were going forward and a man down.
-
Full time.
Bizot MotM
-
Absolutely taking that.
-
Full time.
Bizot MotM
agreed
-

Silver lining. 100% of our shots were on target. We had the same amount of shots on target as they did whilst down a defender for a 1/3 of the match.
-
Take a point after that
-
New keeper did well with Olsen we'd have been 2-0 down first galf
-
Full time.
Bizot MotM
agreed
Seconded.
-
Fortune that we were playing a team who had very little in the way of cutting edge. New keeper looks very solid. A point gained
-
We played better with 10.
Cash always gets grief, but he defended very well, throwing himself in front of players.
