I can't see Emery just giving him the night off. If he's not sick/injured he should be on the bench. Don't play him if we don't have to but it would be madness to just not have the option there.

Apparently the police still aren't letting Legia fans into the ground and have them waiting in the away car park.
We should've let them into the ground early. Was coming back from Walsall earlier so had to change trains at Aston at 6pm and police were flooding the platforms with the commander saying their fans needed to be directed to Witton. Let the decent ones in from 6 ish and then deal with the troublemakers with the flares and everyone else later on.
20 minutes gone and none of their fans in and going to be carnage after the match I fear. Already none of our fans can go outside to have a fag so there's obviously plenty of angry Polish fans outside.

If we are constantly playing the ball across our penalty box and playing without any really desire to get forward eventually it increases the chances of a mistake being made. Make that mistake at their end it’s not an issue

Kamara gave them their equaliser. Both McGinn and Tielemans very average, wouldn't be surprised if McGinn was hooked soon but don't understand their positioning at all. Maybe McGinn selected to give Moreno a bit more protection but he looks a bit weary tonight. Duran is very fortunate Watkins isn't on the bench or it would be there games in a row replaced at half time.

Up to very poor from abysmal. Some solid effort and he might nudge poor > below average.
He’s just so slow off the line, we had a corner and the ball came all the way back and Martinez would have been right on it. It took ages for Olsen to appear. Also he does play the odd pass when you wonder why he chose it.

Aston Villa Football Club can confirm that no away fans were allowed into Villa Park for this evening’s UEFA Europa Conference League fixture with Legia Warsaw on the advice of West Midlands Police following large-scale disorder outside the stadium caused by visiting supporters.
The UK safety authorities, UEFA and Aston Villa, communicated on November 2 that the ticket allocation for away fans for this fixture would be reduced to 1,002 on the advice of safety authorities as a result of previous large-scale disorder caused by Legia fans last month at AZ Alkmaar.
A number of Dutch police officers were injured during that disorder. As a consequence, UEFA banned Legia supporters from travelling to Mostar for their game against HŠK Zrinjski.
In spite of numerous requests for cooperation from Legia Warsaw concerning their travelling supporters, especially in the last two days, no assistance on the serious safety matter of away fans attending Villa Park was forthcoming from the visiting club. The club has repeatedly, including this morning, raised concerns in conjunction with UEFA and all the relevant authorities to Legia that ticketless away supporters were attempting to attend Villa Park.
Approximately an hour before kick-off, Legia fans engaged in planned and systematic violent acts against West Midlands Police officers and a decision was then made by West Midlands Police to exclude all Legia supporters.
Aston Villa strongly condemns the behaviour of those visiting supporters and would like to thank West Midlands Police for their professionalism in very difficult circumstances.

Although I doubt many were hanging around next to the stadium.
