An even tougher afternoon ahead now but one we need to find a way to win against a very good side. Great sides need to be versatile to win games. Chance for others to step now. Disappointed that Sanson doesn't get a start. AEG comes in.
-
Step up other players.
-
That midfield is BOLD.
-
I must admit I’m a bit disappointed we have not tried something a bit different with the formation. We do have players at our disposal to do so.
-
I thought Sanson might start, right then Villa get in to em and fuck em up.
-
Hard to be positive with that line up.
Afraid We can only afford one of Barkley and Traore.
-
Jesus, that bench...and where the hell is Engels ?
-
Barkley is undroppable. Sanson must be royally fcuked off.
-
I might open a bottle of wine to take the edge off.
-
I'm worried by AEG starting, doesn't deserve it based on recent performances. Why not give Sanson a start?
-
That midfield is BOLD.
Not much else he could have done, I guess.
-
Leicester: Schmeichel, Castagne, Evans, Soyuncu, Thomas, Ndidi, Tielemans, Maddison, Pereira, Barnes, Vardy.
Subs: Ward, Albrighton, Iheanacho, Amartey, Under, Choudhury, Mendy, Fuchs, Daley-Campbell.
-
I might open a bottle of wine to take the edge off.
Good idea I might follow
-
I really thought he'd protect Elmo
-
We are going to get murdered on the break.
-
Disappointed that Samson isn’t starting.
Time to stand up and be counted.
-
What a dog’s arse of a team.
-
I'm worried by AEG starting, doesn't deserve it based on recent performances. Why not give Sanson a start?
He had a fantastic December and was dropped as soon as St Ross came back. Since then, one disappointing half against West Ham when the whole team played poor yet El Ghazi was the one hooked at half time. There's far less-deserving of a start in our team than him.
-
Lunacy to start RB and Traore ahead of Sanson and Jacob.
He just handed the midfield to LC. Horrible decision
-
We are going to get murdered on the break.
We need the ball for that to happen.
-
Going to be a long 90 minutes I suspect. Huge amount of work for Doug and SJM to get through and also make sure we get enough of the ball to the 3 behind Ollie.
Perhaps Bert and Barkley will drop deep aswell and we'll have just AEG up with the striker but I'm not sure and Elmohamady won't half be exposed in this formation which is another headache.
-
3-0 to them. :(
Oh well...hope Jack isn't out for too long.
-
Barnes v Elmo with no discernible tracker on the field.
-
I might open a bottle of wine to take the edge off.
Good idea I might follow
I would as well but we’ve given up drinking at home which was not the best decision with pubs being closed.
-

Think AEG just had a purple patch of form, he was as poor as the rest v West Ham.
Still he'll be on the penalty if we get one first half.
-
I’m not sure Barkley is undroppable, but once Grealish was injured, there was no way Smith was taking Traore or Barkley out of the team. I’m only surprised El Ghazi is in instead of Trez. Elmo really won’t have much protection from Traore. Let’s hope that we have the Xmas time El Ghazi rather than the bizarre first half against West Ham.
-
In desperate hope of coming back here in a couple of hours and looking like a pessimistic fool.... We are going to get absolutely walloped with that line up.
-
Last time he had shin splints, is was 4/5 weeks if I remember correctly.
-
Such a disappointing selection. Barkley and elghazi rather than sanson and ramsey. I
-
Got a real bad feeling about this game today..I felt nervous before with the hope that Jack would be fit. Without him I think we’re gonna struggle against this Leicester side.
I’m another who is disappointed that Sanson hasn’t got the nod over Barkley, something strange going on there. Anyway, let’s hope I’m wrong about being nervy.
-
No engels
-
These won't be able to double up on Jack now. They're fucked. Come on you Villa boys!
-
I'm starting to get the feeling that Barkley has been promised that he plays if he isn't injured. His recent form hasn't justified his selection today.
-
3/4-0 to administration fiddling, happy clapper crisp twats. I fecking hate them as well.
-
I might open a bottle of wine to take the edge off.
Good idea I might follow
I would as well but we’ve given up drinking at home which was not the best decision with pubs being closed.
Just give up making rash decisions. Sorted. ;-)
-
No engels
I'd love to know what's going on with him. First we had his never ending injury, which as usual we were given fuck all details about. Now we have him hopping from the subs bench to sitting at home on alternate weekends.
Just sell him for fucks sake.
-
I'd have started Sanson and Trezeguet. I'd happily take a point now but fear the worst. Surprise me Villa and make Dave P's birthday a happy one.
-
Don't know how many more crap games Barkley has to have before he's dropped, great to see Chukwuemeka on the bench.
-
What a dog’s arse of a team.
Look on the bright side, if we get a player sent off the game is abandoned as we're starting with 9 men.
-
Don't know how many more crap games Barkley has to have before he's dropped, great to see Chukwuemeka on the bench.
undroppable
-
Don't know how many more crap games Barkley has to have before he's dropped, great to see Chukwuemeka on the bench.
Hopefully he comes on. And if he gets knocked down he gets back up again.
-
I would have had Trez on the right to offer cover for Elmo and have Sanson in the middle instead of Barkley as one of two 8's, with McGinn, so that we could compete physically.
It's a brave selection and one I think will see us getting dominated.
4-1 Leicester
-
I’m not going to be all doom and gloom if we lose, if we lose then we’ve lost to a decent side. I watched Leicester vs Wolves the other week and they were quite average. We are still having a decent season and no one would have predicted our current position and points haul way back when we kicked off the season vs Sheffield United. We aren’t the soft touch we were last season and we will still have 15-16 games left after today.
-
Hard to be positive with that line up.
Afraid We can only afford one of Barkley and Traore.
Agreed on that, I've no problem with AEG coming in for Jack on the left but no way should both Traore and Barkley be selected against a team with the counter attacking power of Leicester.
-
We will get ripped to shreds with such an open team unless we can bang in a few early goals.
-
Don't know how many more crap games Barkley has to have before he's dropped, great to see Chukwuemeka on the bench.

Ha ha brilliant
I need a laugh at the moment
-
What a dog’s arse of a team.
Look on the bright side, if we get a player sent off the game is abandoned as we're starting with 9 men.
That’s the spirit.
-
Some people want to get a grip and stop moaning and instead get behind the team ..... afraid its typical Villa fans ...... is someone starting a Deano out campaign if we lose today ...it wouldn't surprise me reading this rubbish
-
Fear that we are going to be totally dominated in midfield. Really surprised we've gone with the same set up.
Dean seems to be reluctant to adjust to the opposition and to circumstances.
This is going to be a tough afternoon.
-
Strange decision to buy Sanson and then more or less ignore him .Have been dreading all season any injuries for Grealish ,Cash and Watkins and we get two at once ,typical villa luck
-
Not much in the way of work rate or tackling back in Barkley, Traore or El Ghazi is there. Really surprised Trez isn’t starting.
-

Absolutely. This thread is pathetic in places.
-
Don’t get the doom and gloom on here. I get the feeling that Grealish has been carrying that injury for a couple of games at least, because he’s been ineffective recently - last two especially.
Need the team to step up now - opportunity to see what they can do when the limelight’s not all on one player.
Let’s be honest, we’re safe. Who would have thought we’d be in this position with just over half the season gone. I thought we’d struggle to get anything today WITH Jack. Let’s just support the lads and see how we go.
UTV
-

I’d like to see a midfield with Sanson, McGinn and Luiz. The work rate and energy would be great.
-
I'm pretty happy with that bench, I like seeing a few youth players involved given the amount of subs we're now allowed.
-
In an odd way this feels a bit like a free hit, so there's a bit less pressure.
-
We’ve come a long way in 2 years. Some people need to calm down. They may surprise us.
On the plus side, we may get a glimpse of the next superstar to wear claret & blue.
-

Absolutely. This thread is pathetic in places.
Some of the comments on here show exactly why DS is head coach and we’re not. Barkley was a huge hit when he first played but now, having returned from injury after 2 months out, he’s the worst player in the history of football and should be no where near the team.
Why don’t we just wait and see what happens.
-
I have to say that I am disappointed Sanson is not starting. Surely he has been with us for long enough to be fit. The midfield has been very ineffective of late so i can't see how he is not worth a try when you have just shelled out £14m for him. If he cant get in now, why buy him in the first place?
-

Sounds rather grownup imho, let’s give it a try
-
Barkley is a fine player who shouldn't currently be in the first team but, with Jack out, now should be. All of these things can be simultaneously true.
-
Leicester do seem to be our sliding door moments team. Building around jack is great but let’s hope we have a plan b. Would settle for a 1-1 but worry it will be a field day for the crisp munching blues.
-
Strange decision to buy Sanson and then more or less ignore him .Have been dreading all season any injuries for Grealish ,Cash and Watkins and we get two at once ,typical villa luck
How is he ignoring him? He's new to the club and just settling in, Dean is doing what the majority of managers would sensibly do.
-
I think we've been pretty lucky with injuries so far this season to be honest.
-
Continually playing a player who is unfit and out of form not only leaves us short handed on the field but also restricts the development of youth in Ramsey case and the integration of sanson
-
My, haven't we got some little rays of sunshine on here today.
-
Some people want to get a grip and stop moaning and instead get behind the team ..... afraid its typical Villa fans ...... is someone starting a Deano out campaign if we lose today ...it wouldn't surprise me reading this rubbish
Here come the "Better fan than you" brigade....
-
Barkley is a fine player who shouldn't currently be in the first team but, with Jack out, now should be. All of these things can be simultaneously true.
Well he's not going to get a better chance to show what he's about. I strongly suspect he'll be shit again though.
-
I think we've been pretty lucky with injuries so far this season to be honest.
We definitely have. I look away whenever Ollie Watkins goes down.
-
Drubbing on the cards here
-

Has a ball been kicked yet?
-
Right, after reading the last 5 pages I'm breaking my no drinking at home rule. Cider is poured. Cheers all! UTV!
-
I more surprised Trez starting to be honest.
-
Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic, but I'm content with the starting eleven given the squad... we've played badly with a 1st choice recently, so just depends on performance. Hopefully we've used the training week to work on this line up. Looking forward to Elmo finding El Ghazi at the back stick for our first!
-
I remember the gloom around the ground v Bristol city a couple of seasons ago when Jack was declared unfit just before kick off..we won with one of our best performances of the season...it’s be nice for something similar.
Sansom I think is one for the future, good to see we are showing some belief in our kids
Come on Villa, let’s have a great team performance!
-

It's called having an opinion.
-
Right, after reading the last 5 pages I'm breaking my no drinking at home rule. Cider is poured. Cheers all! UTV!
Yep me too, already started.
-

Kick off is 2.05pm mate.
-
I'm glad there's no crowd. To judge by some comments on here, there would be booing from the kick-off!
-

Thanks. Good to see you've set your expectations early on.
-
Jack is a big miss but as someone else said he’d not been his normal self recently. Barkley really needs to find his pre injury form today.
I think it will be tough but who knows?
-
Right, after reading the last 5 pages I'm breaking my no drinking at home rule. Cider is poured. Cheers all! UTV!
Yep me too, already started.
Let's do this! Clink! Clink!
-
As Dave points out above, it’s just opinions. Not sure why you’d expect anything else a few minutes before kick off.
-
I'd be more confident if we'd played well recently, and if Cash was still fit. But if Fulham can get seven points in a week, then we can beat sodding Leicester City.
-
Jack is a big miss but as someone else said he’d not been his normal self recently. Barkley really needs to find his pre injury form today.
I think it will be tough but who knows?
Agree, let’s see how far we progressed and are we still a “one man team?”
-

Yep, it's an opportunity.
-
Time to prove we're not a one man team. Not the midfield I would have picked, but hey, if everyone steps up to the mark we can still get a result. Stay positive!
-
As most teams game plan is to nulify jack will be interesting to see how leicester re shuffle. Maybe our line up might surprise them
-
Come on the villa boys
-
Good start. Leicester shot on target in 30 seconds from our kick off.
-
Come on Villa. I think this is going to be one of those games where we have to weather it down for a bit first. And try not to give possession away like that...
-
6 games in 18 games having an impact with two fatigue related injuries to key players. Dean Smith came across as a bit of a Mike Bassett with his "players don't get fatigue" comments.
Anyway back to the game, good that Leicester expecting Jack to start have gone with two right backs. But they have started well.
-
This is looking ominous.
-
This is going to be a long afternoon
-
Very bad feeling already
-
They are pinning us back so we are back to the Tyrone hoof ball
-
Picking up where we left off against Brighton so far.
-
Nice play Ollie.
-
This looks rather ominous.
-
Elmo, oh dear.
-
Why can’t we pass the ball?
-
Fucking hell Elmo.
-
Why are we allowing their players the freedom of the stadium when they're around our box? Shite so far.
-
That’s pretty dreadful from Elmo and Bert.
-
Very long afternoon ahead at this rate.
-
Looking a little disorganised at the moment
-
Midfield is non existent. Its so easy for Leicester to play through us at the moment
-
Dire.
-
We’re giving them too much space. Far too much space.
-
You could drive a jumbo jet through the space in our midfield. It is astonishing.
-
Ollie isolated against two very good defenders. Hence the pattern of the game. Traore lost the ball a lot so far. Elmo is a behind the sofa job.
-
Whatever the plan was Dean it ain’t working!
-
Bert’s defending there was under 11’s.
-
Not getting AEG or Traore into the game at all
-
Traoré looks like a pub player so far. Losing the ball every time.
-
Very passive from us.
-
Traore is having a shocker.
-
Any one else think we might have got the set up wrong
-
Traore isn’t working today.
-
Nakamba for Barkley and don't bother waiting until half time.
-
It’s like taking candy off a baby at the moment
-
AEG and Bert = no midfield.
-
This is really poor at the moment. We don’t look like a team, we look like a collection of poor individuals.
-
I'd take 0-0.
-
Leicester are a very good side. Some excellent players, well coached and tactically well defined. But we are making it so very easy for them.
-
Bertie gone up top?
-
Leicester dominating the midfield.
I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.
-
Shaping up to be a very long 90 minutes. Might get better if we can get Barkley, Traore and El Ghazi on the pitch at some stage!!
-
Leicester are a very good side. Some excellent players, well coached and tactically well defined. But we are making it so very easy for them.
They are definitely top 4 team these days
-
Leicester dominating the midfield.
I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.
Astonishing I agree.
-
Ooooh unlucky.
-
Much better.
-
A bit more like it. Watkins looking up for it, at least.
-
Good play by Ollie there
-
Fcuking hell Barkley !
-
Good play there.
-
Sub Barkley now
-
Since Ross has come back he has hardly completed more than a dozen passes.
-
Kind of hoped the players would want to prove a point to those saying we would struggle without Grealish, but they look like they believe it themselves.
-
Sorry Dean but you have got it wrong today
-
Fcuking hell Barkley !
given the ball away 3 times in 17 minutes
-
Fuck off!
-
Take Barkley off and put him on a train back to Chelsea. Thanks son but it’s not working.
-
No pressure again.
-
What a surprise
-
Yeah, it’s been coming. Barkley giving the ball away so fucking cheaply. Step up if you’re good enough.
-
Woeful defending. Out of possession, far too passive and that's no surprise.
-
Class finish.
-
That was Mings v Greenwood all over again.
-
There we go, fucking predictable. Shit defending m.
-
Terrible defending. Really really poor.
-
Perfectly placed. No saving that.
-
Bollocks.
-
This is dog-shit
-
How is that a foul?
-
Class finish.
It was but Emi was unlucky
-
We’re so fucking laboured and passive.
-
So many of them have regressed in recent weeks. McGinn another example.
-
Been very poor and got what we deserved.
-
So much time to get the shot away though.
-
We are going to get smashed. Early doors but we seem to be playing as individuals. Giving the ball away too much.
-
Free shot for one of the league's best players. Awful.
-
Soft, really soft - can't see us getting anything out of this now.
-
We are going to get a pasting here if Dean doesn’t change it
-
Jack should persuade Maddison to join us in the summer.
-
Feels like a continuation of Brighton. Very slow out of possession.
-
As soon as we saw the team sheet, it was obvious.
-
We’re so fucking laboured and passive.
We look like the team who played in midweek
-
Barkley, el ghazi...shit.
Dougie. Invisible.
Elmo...championship at best
-
How can you see how Traore and Barkley played against Brighton and think “I know, I’ll start them again.” Utter stupidity.
-
Perfectly placed. No saving that.
Got a hand to it, should be keeping it out for me.
Really poor defending for the first ball and Mings needed to get a lot closer to Maddison for the shot.
Thought we had just settled at the time after a very slow start. Watkins looks very lively.
-
Been very poor and got what we deserved.
We have been for a while. With or without Grealish
-
Thinks going to be embarrassing
-
All over.
-
Fuck off!
-
So so slow and aimless. McGinn looks to be wearing diving boots.
-
This is going to be 5 or 6
-
Absolutely fucking pathetic.
We really are a one man team.
-
I said we'd get drummed and those fears are being realised. I'd make a double sub now and get El Ghazi and Barkely off. It could be 3 or 4 by half time.
-
We are so slow, no anticipation, nothing. They are stealing a wage
-
Fuck me. 2-0
-
Fucking fuming. Leicester were 5/4 and I didn't back them
-
That's piss poor by Martinez.
-
Elmo ffs. I really hate us when we turn up like this.
-
How can you see how Traore and Barkley played against Brighton and think “I know, I’ll start them again.” Utter stupidity.
Fucking obvious,
-
Dean? Any in-game response?
-
This is going to be 5 or 6
Agree.
-
This is getting ugly.
-
Game over
-
Elmo is a sad shadow of a player.
-
Piss-poor.
Not doing the basics properly.
-
The trouble is now we don't have the tactics or substitutes to change how this is going.
-
We are fucked.
-
That is pathetic. Game over.
-
Elmo and Bert both ball watching. Can’t defend for shit.
-
Unacceptable. Absolutely shocking.
-
All over, just going to be a re-run of the VP league game last season. Probably without out us scoring this time.
-
Terrible, keeper poor again. Watch Barkley's effort tracking that run from the throw in.
-
Absolutely fucking pathetic.
We really are a one man team.
Don't forget we are also missing Cash at Right Back
-
Elmo’ s best days are miles and miles behind him
-
How many people still think Elmo is dependable cover?
-
Smith needs to change something here.... over to you Deano - earn your cash.
-
That lineup was asking for the trouble we're now in.
Slow.
-
This is going to be a worse hiding than last season when we all thought we were going to be relegated.
-
Elmo is a sad shadow of a player.
Was never up to this level, even at his best.
-
You know you’re going to in for a tough game against these. But to make it as easy as we have done for them is fcuking hard to take. We look like the team that played Thursday night.
-
Some people want to get a grip and stop moaning and instead get behind the team ..... afraid its typical Villa fans ...... is someone starting a Deano out campaign if we lose today ...it wouldn't surprise me reading this rubbish
Come on you Lions!
-
0-2
The thing is as soon as the team sheet was announced this was entirely predictable. Without Jack we needed to find a different way to play and that way should have been to make it much harder for Leicester .
I love love Deano but he's dropped a bollock rather than a Barkley in this game
-
That lineup was asking for the trouble we're now in.
Slow.
The "better fans than you" brigade said Deano had this covered...
-
Dean? Any in-game response?
I am sure he can come up with a like for like substitution
-
They have so much space.
-
We go below spurs if we concede 2 more.
-
Some people want to get a grip and stop moaning and instead get behind the team ..... afraid its typical Villa fans ...... is someone starting a Deano out campaign if we lose today ...it wouldn't surprise me reading this rubbish
Absolutely. This thread is pathetic in places.
You should see the game!
-
That right hand side is an absolute disgrace. Letting Guilbert go was madness, as is starting Traore in a game like this.
-
Make a change Dean.
-
Missing Matty Cash more than Jack..... love Elmo, but on this showing, we should not have let Freddie go out.
-
Smiths fault this is our midfield has been off for a while, he needed to freshen it up everyone could see it.
-
I didn’t expect to win today. I’ll absolutely accept that but what I hate above all things is when we fall apart it’s utterly dreadful how fast it happens. And if you look at the displays of the last few weeks you could argue something like this has been coming. Last weekend was shit against a bottom feeder where we should have lost by a few. Today is going to be where we pay a hefty price.
-
AEM should've done better there but look at the space they're getting centrally.
With Jack out it made it easier for DS to bring in Sanson or Nakamba and have a hardworking and deep central three and he's refused and the game is over within half an hour.
-
The next goal has to come from us if we are to stand any chance of getting anything from this game.
-
Piss easy for Leicester this is.
-
It’s so easy for them to get up the pitch. None of our midfield are really pressing or winning a tackle. Watkins is trying at least but at least three of our midfield are passengers at the moment.
-
Match goes into slow motion when we get the ball.
-
Maybe we deserve it but by fuck, these commentators are doing my nuts in. Leicester season ticket holders?
-
It says 'Do not use' on alternate seats on the bench. We should change it to 'Do not lose'.
-
Getting a regular chasing at home to Leicester fucking City makes me realise how much of a disadvantage it was to go shit at exactly the time we did.
-
We can't keep the ball for more than five seconds. Awful.
-
El Ghazi strolling round like he's having a jog round Kingsbury Water Park. Hook him immediately.
-
If Barnes v Elmo was a boxing match they’d have stopped it by now.
-
Bloody hell.
-
There is absolutely no excuse so the half-arsed performances out there.
It is laboured, passive and lacking in energy.
Only Watkins of the midfield and forwards gives a shit.
-
No out ball beyond Watkins. McGinn having to work extra to cover for Ross the ambler Barkley. Sanson and Trez on.
-
It’s so easy for them to get up the pitch. None of our midfield are really pressing or winning a tackle. Watkins is trying at least but at least three of our midfield are passengers at the moment.
Match goes into slow motion when we get the ball.
Yes and yes.
-
Make a change Dean.
In last few weeks he seems to have slipped back into his bad old ways, naive team selections, not using subs at right times and not wanting to drop players based on reputation.
Has Craig Shakespeare gone on holiday as seems he'd knocked some sense into DS with some good gameplans but it's gone a bit wrong on that front lately.
-
Maybe we deserve it but by fuck, these commentators are doing my nuts in. Leicester season ticket holders?
They are awful. Talking crap. They’ve mentioned Ollie at WSM twice
-
Just keep the ball at the back for 60minutes and take the 2-0 loss
-
It says 'Do not use' on alternate seats on the bench. We should change it to 'Do not lose'.
I thought it was just where the substitutes sit as a reminder for Dean Smith not to use them.
-
El Ghazi strolling round like he's having a jog round Kingsbury Water Park. Hook him immediately.
He's having a significantly better game than Traore - although that is not saying very much
-
Time for Dean to grow a pair and make some early changes.
-
Slow passing across the back 4, first pass forward and the player either hoofs or loses it. Dreadful.
-
Criminal no Nakamba in starting X1 today.
-
Should have scored there.
-
Leicester are our bloody kryptonite when we have a downturn in fortunes. Still a long way to go but why so lethargic? I’ve said before building a team around one player is all well and good but we need a plan b
-
to be fair - they're pretty much all playing shite.
Although, I do feel for Watkins.
-
Barkley seems to be one of those players who looks great when his teammates are flying, but becomes a passenger whenever the going gets tough.
Doesn't work anything like hard enough for me. He should take a leaf out of his mate Grealish's book.
-
We set up to play shite
-
I didn’t expect to won’t today.
We have been poor since the first half at Burnley and the points we have got since have been from a backs to the wall effort
-
I think over the last couple of weeks we have become the team most expected us to be this season.
The saddest thing will be to see us slip down the table in the second half of the season and undo all the superb work of the first 18 games
-
Arrogant team selection and formation by Smith. So avoidable.
-
Right now I’m thinking thank God we have got 36 points.
-
What the fuck was that El Ghazi.
-
Arrogant team selection and formation by Smith. So avoidable.
What??? Arrogant??? Poor maybe but arrogant??
-
Lacklustre and uninventive more than arrogant, I'd say. Let's see if he's got the balls to change it at halftime. There's nothing really to lose.
-
Wasted by McGinn.
-
Smith doesn’t do draws. It’s win or lose. Let’s hope it isn’t yet another winless run.
-
Arrogant team selection and formation by Smith. So avoidable.
I agree with this. Be compact, compete, give Leicester a game.
Traore, El Ghazi, Barkley?
Did we learn nothing from Brighton?
-
Lacklustre and uninventive more than arrogant, I'd say. Let's see if he's got the balls to change it at halftime. There's nothing really to lose.
And that can't come soon enough!
-
AEM should've done better there but look at the space they're getting centrally.
With Jack out it made it easier for DS to bring in Sanson or Nakamba and have a hardworking and deep central three and he's refused and the game is over within half an hour.
The midfield has looked way off the pace since the enforced break. Douglas Luiz has looked a shadow of the player he was earlier in the season, McGinn has looked laboured and Barkley has largely been a passenger.
-
Nothing more certain than Traore being subbed today.
-
Nothing more certain than Traore being subbed today.
To be fair at least he’s trying!
-
Fucking Douglas dye your hair again please.
-
McGinn is having a go in fairness, but Barkley looks exactly like the player I'd worried he would be when it was rumoured we were in for him.
-
This is piss poor to watch. We had chance to go higher this season, perhaps higher than we deserve but this is like last season. Needs sorting and fast.
-
Is Barkley fucking knackered already? He is blowing out of his arse and hardly moving.
-
We look like a team that didn't think they could win, it's the first time it's happened this season. What's really frustrating is that they haven't had to play well to go into a 2-0 lead because we've been scared of competing with them.
-
Arrogant, stupid, naive ? team selection, fucking obvious it was not going to work
-
McGinn is having a go in fairness, but Barkley looks exactly like the player I'd worried he would be when it was rumoured we were in for him.
You were right then Lee, fair play.
-
Our lot are treating the ball like a live grenade. Leicester look like they know what they are going to do every time they come forward.
-
Surprised that Samson a not in the side today
-
Astonished Smith hasn't changed it. Simply poor management.
-
We've generally looked a shadow of ourselves since we came back from the outbreak.
-
Playing Traore in front of Elmo pretty much guaranteed Barnes a goal, he was already in double figures. Nakamba should definitely have started to actually put some pressure on their players, especially around the edge of our box.
If a simpleton like me can see that I'm struggling to see how Dean and Co couldn't.
-
Maybe he had a haircut
-
I feel sorry for Watkins.
-
Surprised that Samson a not in the side today
cant drop Ross
-
Nothing more certain than Traore being subbed today.
Between 60th and 65th minute
-
why isnt mings taking that free kick quicker? we are 2nil down ffs
-
Surprised that Samson a not in the side today
cant drop Ross
I would bring Delilah on instead of Barkley.
-

If a simpleton like me can see that I'm struggling to see how Dean and Co couldn't.
Barnes goal was nothing to do with Traore, Elmo stood still watching the ball come back from Martinez whlst Barnes actually tried to get onto it, that's not tactical, it's a very avoidable individual error.
-
What the fuck was that on the edge of their box then with Mings and Barkley? Standing looking at each other like a pair of pricks
-
Surprised that Samson a not in the side today
Is he not with Delilah?
-
Astonished Smith hasn't changed it. Simply poor management.
It's becoming common for us to have no reaction or ideas to change a game.
-
Need changes for the 2nd half.
Massive shake up needed.
Horrible watch.
-
I feel sorry for Watkins.
The one player who you can't really slate after that half
-
Embarrassing first half performance. Wrong team selection. Weak in midfield.
Nothing positive. Sadly.
-

Elmo has been all over the shop.
-
Please make some changes Mr Smith
-
I feel sorry for Watkins.
The one player who you can't really slate after that half
Poor bloke needs some support.
-
White flag stuff.Luiz is doing my nut in.
-
It’s a shame we’ve only started upping our game once the game itself is lost.
-
We are utterly clueless. We’re playing like a relegation threatened team. Poor all over the pitch.
-
3 subs for me. Leicester look ropey when the ball is played into the box.
Barkely, Traore and El Ghazi off.
Watkins wide, Davis up top to try and drag some territory a bit higher up. Bring Trez on right to try and get Elmo forwards a little more for his delivery, which is about all he has left.
Sanson into midfield with McGinn to allow them both to press onto their midfield too.
Go direct, get set pieces, about our only hope. Flat, passive and insipid performance.
-
Hook Traore and Barkley. Stick on Trez and one of Nakamba/ Sanson and get in the Leicester player's faces.
-
Can we declare at half-time?
-
Get Sanson and Nakamba on for Barkley and El Ghazi. Push McGinn on and play Sanson left. This midfield is criminal at the moment.
-
When was last time we won after being two down? I see other teams do it but it’s not sonething we seem to be very good at. Sanson and Nakamba on hopefully. Credit to Leicester though, we haven’t given them a go really but they are a decent side.
-
We've generally looked a shadow of ourselves since we came back from the outbreak.
I agree, we've looked very flat since we came back, it's not an excuse but our high pressing has disappeared and it's changed our game completely.
-
All I can hear is the Leicester bench and players, shouting and supporting each other. Silence and gormless looks from the home side.
-
El Ghazi strolling round like he's having a jog round Kingsbury Water Park. Hook him immediately.
A long way from our worst out there I'd argue
Barks and Traore off, let's get a look at Ramsey and Sanson, shift McGinn to the right.
So many poor performances out there. Keeper should have saved both goals, midfield two providing no cover in front of CBs, the Elmo/Traore right side horror show. That complete charlatan Ross Barkley, hopefully one of his last appearances in a Villa shirt.
-
Another tough half to watch. Really think we should've set up to spoil today, with Traore in place of Grealish on the left, Sanson and Trez in midfield. Too open and not bringing any attacking quality to justify it.
-
We needed to pick a team that could compete and keep it tight. Ie earn the right to play.
But no We have 3 players that are pretty poor without the ball and shock horror we are 2 nil down and getting a chasing.
-
HT triple sub for me.... Barkley, Traore and Doug Luiz for Samson, Trez and Marv.
Only positive from that half is that we’re only 2 down....
Didn’t expect anything from today, but the performance has been garbage - Missing Cash at RB massively.
-
Can we declare at half-time?
we declared after 15 mins
-
We look unmotivated, disjointed, some simply out of form and being played week in week out. Need a massive second half.
-
It’s a shame we’ve only started upping our game once the game itself is lost.
We upped it just before the first goal in fairness with Watkins setting up Traore.
-
We look unmotivated, disjointed, some simply out of form and being played week in week out. Need a massive second half.
Thing is we know that won’t happen. We’re ok as front runners, but go behind and we’re buried.
-
Can we declare at half-time?
I’d take 0-2 right now. I’d have Barkley and AEG off with Ramsey and Sanson on.
-
Dean needs to prove that he's a coach, and not someone who happened on a once-in-a-generation player.
-
AEG and Barkley off, Trez and Sanson on. Push Traore up alongside Watkins and put Trez on right.
We're deadmeat if we don't change it.
-
We've generally looked a shadow of ourselves since we came back from the outbreak.
Yes. We were like Leicester are today. A delight to watch. Why the big drop in form?
-
Dean deserves huge plaudits for the job he’s done here but today .... no clue. The performance and the goals are the result of an extremely poor line up.
Why is he sticking with players out of form? It’s a cardinal sin in sport in general.
-
And as if things couldn’t get worse bloody Micah Richards giving his analysis in the studio!!!
-
We need to maybe try out Keinan Davies as striker with support for Watkins left side / wide support also bring Sanson into picture.
So Davies and Sanson on.
Really?!
We’re bad enough, without bringing on a ‘supposed’ striker who is proven to score about as many goals as our keeper!?
-
Can Sky stop trying to blame the lack of Jack? More to it than that.
-
Can Sky stop trying to blame the lack of Jack? More to it than that.
we've played poorly with Jack recently - they've clearly not done enough research
-
We'll make one or two substitutions but tactically nothing will change and that's the problem.
-
And the female pundit got it dead correct in one sentence. Villa midfield not giving any cover whatsoever to the defence.
-

But the ball might stick up top a bit more to bring Ollie etc. into play
-
Today was always going to be tough.
Manager made the task even hard by what he selected at 1.05pm.
Chance to at least make some changes and make Leicester work a bit more second half but I suspect we'll sit on our hands and be 3 down by hour mark and then Trez will come on for Barkley.
-
Can Sky stop trying to blame the lack of Jack? More to it than that.
Thought the same thing
-
Can Sky stop trying to blame the lack of Jack? More to it than that.
Elmo replacing Cash has had a bigger impact
-
Play three in midfield and we're screwed. First Lingard now Maddison, given the freedom of Villa park.
This is wholly on Smith, as much as I want to slate Barkley and a few others.
-
No blaming the players today. It’s all on Smith
-
Grealish being out isn't responsible for our non existent midfield or poor defending.
Leicester have some very good attacking players and we've made it like a training exercise for them
-
No blaming the players today. It’s all on Smith
????????????????
-
As bad as we’ve been, with the right subs we could get back into this.
Won’t happen though will it??
-
We need to maybe try out Keinan Davies as striker with support for Watkins left side / wide support also bring Sanson into picture.
So Davies and Sanson on.
Really?!
We’re bad enough, without bringing on a ‘supposed’ striker who is proven to score about as many goals as our keeper!?
Exactly. Let’s face it, Keinan couldn’t hit the North Stand if he was standing in it, bless him.
-
And the female pundit got it dead correct in one sentence. Villa midfield not giving any cover whatsoever to the defence.
She's right, we have been conceding far too many shots against us in recent weeks.
-
No blaming the players today. It’s all on Smith
bit of both for me.
It's not Smith's fault the players can't pass to each other.
-
No blaming the players today. It’s all on Smith
Hardly.
-
No blaming the players today. It’s all on Smith
Smith has undeniably got his lineup and tactics badly wrong, but i'm not sure you can give a pass to players who are strolling around, not bothering to track back, not bothering to close down and continually making basic errors.
-
Any change? No, didn’t think so.
-
I love deano but that team selection was appalling.
-
We don't have 11 men out of possession and McGinn is 1 man against 2, so we leave space. Add in that passive element, especially from Elmo and its poor stuff.
Definitely think we could do with having a lump up there, as corners have where we have caused problems.
I think Sky are making far too much of Grealish here. This is Brighton all over again, only Brighton are an awful side and incapable of punishing you.
-
Can Sky stop trying to blame the lack of Jack? More to it than that.
You can't be without one player and then have the right to collapse.
Leicester are better than us at the moment. It is no shame to lose to them.
However the lack of competitiveness, the lack of midfield shape, the lack of organisation, of energy, of desire.
There's no excuse for that.
Dean just has got to look at how he sets us up. There is nothing wrong in being cautious, in having a strong organised midfield. In making the opposition work for every chance.
-
And the female pundit got it dead correct in one sentence. Villa midfield not giving any cover whatsoever to the defence.
Her name is Alex Scott
-
We are not deep enough yet as a squad to absorb the loss of our best player. That’s obvious. What we should be better at is tactically not being able to at least make it hard for better teams to simply do as they want.
-
You could not make it up, no changes.
-
FFS! He's not giving the same line up another 15-20 minutes, is he?
-
I love Dean Smith but hes got to make a change. I can’t understand why he doesn’t.
-
If we can keep this as 2-0, it’ll be an ok afternoon now.
-
Can Sky stop trying to blame the lack of Jack? More to it than that.
Indeed. We've been poor this year after a brilliant December. As for today, Ads summed it up perfectly in his previous post.
-
Sky will presumably be trying to undermine the rest of the team in the hope that Grealish will be tempted away by one of their special clubs in the summer.
-
We are not deep enough yet as a squad to absorb the loss of our best player. That’s obvious. What we should be better at is tactically not being able to at least make it hard for better teams to simply do as they want.
We have been playing poor with Jack recently
-
Get in!
-
Get in!
-
Oooh pulled one back! Is there hope?
-
Yay!
-
What's he moaning about? Fuck off.
-
Good finish by Bertie.
-
Mon Bertie. Come on Villa, get some pressure on them now. No idea what that twat Schmeichel was moaning about.
-
And the female pundit got it dead correct in one sentence. Villa midfield not giving any cover whatsoever to the defence.
She's right, we have been conceding far too many shots against us in recent weeks.
It's not about a lack of cover, it's that the lack of pressing higher up the pitch means teams can play it around with too much time to pick gaps. Add to that us trying to not have too many players behind the bal land it's a perfect storm for them to boss us. It's been the same problem for a few games and it's why Barkley has been the target of a lot of complaints, if he's going to stay up the pitch then he needs to scare teams into keeping players deep to cover him and he's just not doing it.
All that said, great goal, where was Barkley though?
-
What was Schmiechel doing just?
-
Well, well. Get in!
-
Some finish that to be fair.
-
What's he moaning about? Fuck off.
[/quote
That's what I was wondering..are you not allowed to shoot! Wanker.
]
-
WTF.
Great goal.
Fuck off Schmeichel.
-
Didn't see that coming.
-
And great play from Targett to set it up. Matt one of two players who could be happy with their first half.
-
What's he moaning about? Fuck off.
At first I thought the keeper was complaining we impeded him but I think he might have been complaining about his defenders.
-
That’s not a booking.
-
Didn't see that coming.
Don't think Schmeichel did, either.
-
That’s not a booking.
Barnes initiated the trip
-
Bit harsh yellow
-
That’s not a booking.
I'm not sure it was even a foul.
-
WTF.
Great goal.
Fuck off Schmeichel.
His Dad was basically a wanker, apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
-
Very harsh booking for Doug
-
That’s not a booking.
I'm not sure it was even a foul.
Some bookings these days are a joke.
-
Come on Villa settle and concentrate. Believe
-
Id love to know how Barnes fouling Dougie is a booking.
-
Id love to know how Barnes fouling Dougie is a booking.
Exactly as I saw it FFS
-
I moan about this on far too many match threads but why do no refs give free kicks for 2-handed shoves in the back? The one from Castagne on AEG just was clear as can be and just got ignored.
-
And great play from Targett to set it up. Matt one of two players who could be happy with their first half.
Agreed, he's been very consistent. Feel with Cash too, the goals probably won't happen. Elmo too passive.
-
Barkley, WTF was that, lost all momentum in that attack because of that shit ball.
Get him off.
-
Come on Villa. Looking better.
-
I moan about this on far too many match threads but why do no refs give free kicks for 2-handed shoves in the back? The one from Castagne on AEG just was clear as can be and just got ignored.
Spot on
-
Long balls from Mings are not the way to go I feel.
-
Barkley, WTF was that, lost all momentum in that attack because of that shit ball.
Get him off.
All the hard work, and he squanders it
-
I moan about this on far too many match threads but why do no refs give free kicks for 2-handed shoves in the back? The one from Castagne on AEG just was clear as can be and just got ignored.
That fucker is invisible to refs if the game at their place was anything to go by, he could have about 6 bookings on Jack alone.
-
One more for Luiz and he'll go. Time for Nakamba.
-
Come on Villa. Looking better.
(Couldn't look much worse to be frank :))
-
And great play from Targett to set it up. Matt one of two players who could be happy with their first half.
Agreed, he's been very consistent. Feel with Cash too, the goals probably won't happen. Elmo too passive.
He made crazy decisions for both goals. Challenging Konsa for a ball in the air for no reason. Barkley was dreadful for both goals, could easily have caught up with Maddison for the first breakaway.
-
Id love to know how Barnes fouling Dougie is a booking.
The referee is Michael Oliver so I think that tells you all you need to know.
-
Gone to shit again since the goal
-
One more for Luiz and he'll go. Time for Nakamba.
Agreed. His yellow wasn't even a foul, but seeing as it was given he should be taken off. He's getting nowhere near their midfield or attacking players, and is a late challenge waiting to happen.
-
I would not be surprised to see Luiz sent off
-
And another player Barnes gets booked for kicking them.
-
Fuck off ref. Never a yellow.
-
Well done Harvey, could have been an extra in Platoon.
-
What a touch from Barnes that was.
-
I am beginning to think that Barnes is a cheating c**t. I didn't see significant contact with Elmo there.
-
I would not be surprised to see Luiz sent off
Poor yet again today in a very average season.
-
Sure we won’t end this with 11 on the pitch
-
Dean? Anything?
-
Why the fuck is Maddison allowed to walk, and then go down to get treatment in the middle of the pitch?
-
It was a good touch, he then starts to dive, and kicks Elmo on the way down. Who is then booked. Very odd
Marv and Morgan on please, shift Barkely wide.
-
Get Sanson on for Luiz Smith ffs
-
Michael Oliver is another referee who seems to go out of his way to give bad decisions against us
-
Leicester slowing down our rhythm with this fake Maddison injury
-
It was a good touch, he then starts to dive, and kicks Elmo on the way down. Who is then booked. Very odd
Marv and Morgan on please, shift Barkely wide.
Konsa drifted off our defensive line ball watching. Elmo also ball watching. We are all over the place
-
Dean? Anything?
Trez for Traore or el ghazi in the next 10. Guaranteed
-
Michael Oliver is another referee who seems to go out of his way to give bad decisions against us
Yes
-
It was a good touch, he then starts to dive, and kicks Elmo on the way down. Who is then booked. Very odd
Marv and Morgan on please, shift Barkely wide.
I'd shift Barkley wide into the dressing room.
-
Dean Smith looks on in amazement as Leicester City prepare to make a so-called "substitution".
-
Michael Oliver is another referee who seems to go out of his way to give bad decisions against us
I don’t know about go out of his way. It seems to come quite naturally to him.
-
Dean? Anything?
Trez for Traore or el ghazi in the next 10. Guaranteed
-
Trez coming on soon. Time for him to add some sparkle
-
14 shots for them now, on our way to giving up our customary 20 shots a game. I haven't got my UEFA badges but I don't think that's the best way to set out to win games.
-
Barkley defo needs an shower right now.
-
Ffs Barkley...
-
El ghazi...the on pitch invisible man
-
Dean? Anything?
Trez for Traore or el ghazi in the next 10. Guaranteed
Trez for AEG, I could fucking scream !
Gutless sub
-
Kesler and Sanson on for Elmo and Luiz soon, we can't afford a red for either of them.
-
Dean? Anything?
Trez for Traore or el ghazi in the next 10. Guaranteed
Trez for AEG, I could fucking scream !
Gutless sub
But utterly predictable
-
Another really poor display from El Ghazi.
-
Dean? Anything?
Trez for Traore or el ghazi in the next 10. Guaranteed
That is uncanny.
-
Dean? Anything?
Trez for Traore or el ghazi in the next 10. Guaranteed
That is uncanny.
It’s a gift
-
That bastard Barnes has been everywhere.
-
Kesler and Sanson on for Elmo and Luiz soon, we can't afford a red for either of them.
RB losing the ball almost forced Luiz into a challenge that could send him off.
Need sub now
-
It was a good touch, he then starts to dive, and kicks Elmo on the way down. Who is then booked. Very odd
Marv and Morgan on please, shift Barkely wide.
I'd shift Barkley wide into the dressing room.
I'd prefer West London .....fucking chancer :(
-
Better late than never.
-
That bastard Barnes has been everywhere.
He won't have an easier game all season than being up against Elmo.
-
Why does it seem like scoring has actually demotivated OUR players?
-
Dean don't stand there looking gormless!
-
Come on Villa.
-
Konsa has been surprisingly poor today.
-
Dean don't stand there looking gormless!
You can tell when he's run out of ideas, he stands there chewing his bottom lip.
-
That was atrocious Barkely. Trots back in, doesn't cover and then let's them have 4 rolls of the ball. Unacceptable.
-
Well taken Emi.
-
Fuck me, what exactly is Barkley contributing?
-
Fuck me, what exactly is Barkley contributing?
Not a lot :)
-
It’s like slow motion. No one pressing. It’s so easy for their players to get away with the ball.
-
Fuck me, what exactly is Barkley contributing?
The square root of bugger all. Big opportunity for him, and all too predictably he's failed miserably.
-
Good defending by Mings
-
Would love to see someone in midfield be first to the ball.
As for Ross, he’s best in the last 15 minutes apparently, so hold on to your hats.
-
The ref is giving us bugger all.
-
Perhaps Villa could try to get the ball and maybe run with it in the direction of the Leicester goal? Pretty radical idea, I know.
-
Dean, can we have Barkley's 'numbers' after this game?
-
I’m beginning to think Sanson can’t be much cop if he can’t get on ahead of Barkley
-
Barkely, again. McGinn drawn out to press and they're behind our midfield because Barkely is appalling.
-
Traore does it again.....Risso knows what I mean
-
I’m beginning to think Sanson can’t be much cop if he can’t get on ahead of Barkley
I reckon there's some sort of bullshit agreement where he has to start if fit.
-
Obligatory Traore shank!!
-
Don’t see another goal for us here without something changing.
-
Offside from a fucking corner
-
Please Mr Smith. Please take Barkley off
-
Offside from a fucking corner, honestly.
-
Poor corner. All the wrong calls
-
Traore does it again.....Risso knows what I mean
I take it you mean he receives the ball in defence, controls it with one movement then executes a perfectly weighted pass to McGinn in midfield with another? ;)
-
Thank you
-
Can’t think Sansom can be happy to swop Marseille and the Champs league to not get on in front of a kid from the Academy.
-
At last but far too late hooking Barkley.
Fuck off back to chelski.
-
So frustrating
-
Great chance for Traore
-
Why the fuck is it always a drama when Barkley goes off? Get a sense of perspective you useless clogger!
-
Why the fuck is it always a drama when Barkley goes off? Get a sense of perspective you useless clogger!
Yes....spoilt brat or billy big bollocks?
-
What was the sit down in front of the Holte in aid of. Needed a breather from his walk, or another strop?
-
I know that there were questions about whether Hourihane was good enough for where we wanted to be, but somebody is going to have to explain how he'd be a worse option in our squad than Barkley right now.
-
Traore man.Head the fucker
-
I’m beginning to think Sanson can’t be much cop if he can’t get on ahead of Barkley
I reckon there's some sort of bullshit agreement where he has to start if fit.
if that's the case the "new owners" aren't as smart as we thought they were ...........
-
What was the sit down in front of the Holte in aid of. Needed a breather from his walk, or another strop?
He thinks he’s better than he is
-
The childish twat. Even the commentators were saying he's not on it.
-
Trez, I love you man but don't shoot.
-
I’d be sympathetic if he was playing well. He’s not and nor am I.
-
You can take the your shirt and shorts off as well Ross, get dressed, then fuck off back to Chelsea, you absolute melt.
-
Wasted Trez
-
I know that there were questions about whether Hourihane was good enough for where we wanted to be, but somebody is going to have to explain how he'd be a worse option in our squad than Barkley right now.
He looked a world beater when initially partnered with Jack but he's been poor since returning for the hamstring injury
-
Christ that was shit from Trez.
-
What’s a melt?
-
I’d be sympathetic if he was playing well. He’s not and nor am I.
Hash. I think you've had a decent game, mate.
-
Trez wasn't offside. Must have been for Watkins.
-
Even SWMBO was asking why Sanson wasn't on and she knows fuck all about football.
-
If I were Barkley I'd be pissed off too. Imagine coming to us and not managing to play 90 mins. It's the realisation he's bit as good as he hoped he would be.
-
Like for like sub... same beard
-
Why the fuck is it always a drama when Barkley goes off? Get a sense of perspective you useless clogger!
Yes....spoilt brat or billy big bollocks?
Here's an idea Ross - try to look like you give a shit when you're actually on the pitch.
-
I don't think I've ever seen a player put so much effort into being resolutely mediocre as Trez.
Can't help but like the guy, though
-
I see Barkley having his usual subbed induced strop.
-
Sansom already looks like he’s adding much more than Barkley
-
What’s a melt?
Twat or knob. Not quite c**t.
-

Yes....spoilt brat or billy big bollocks?
Barkley needs to drop the 'Sulky Sue' attitude. By my reckoning he needs us more than we need him.
-
What’s a melt?
Scouse insult. Complete idiot.
-

Yes....spoilt brat or billy big bollocks?
I think "twat" sums him up
-
Ramsey has played more good balls in 5 minutes than Barkley managed in the previous 75.
-
We’ve started playing with eight minutes left.
-
Would trez get into any other prem team, or any professional team for that matter ?
-
So that’s 3 games where Barkley has been anonymous but I bet he is the first name on the team sheet.
-
Remember the days when we had numerous shots at goal.
-
What’s a melt?
Sounds like something Mary Berry or Paul Hollywood would ask you to bake.
-
Fuck me, what exactly is Barkley contributing?
Helping the advertisers in front of the Holte End
-
Would trez get into any other prem team, or any professional team for that matter ?
He's better than El Ghazi. Not a high bar, granted.
-
Fuck off Schmeichel you whopper.
-
I see Barkley having his usual subbed induced strop.
SO HE SHOULD. THE STUFF WE ALL DON;T GET IS THAT ONCE HE SCORED TO LAST MINUTE WINNER SO IN HIS MIND HE CAN DO FUCK ALL ALL MATCH.
-
To be fair apart from the free kick Martinez hasn’t had much to do.
-
Come on Villa please score.
-
Trezeguet is a very limited player, but at least he has a bit of urgency about him. Too many of our players strolling round as if we are 3-0 up
-
Would trez get into any other prem team, or any professional team for that matter ?
He's been good this season, he's effective.
-
Schmeicel giving it again. Twat.
-
I know that there were questions about whether Hourihane was good enough for where we wanted to be, but somebody is going to have to explain how he'd be a worse option in our squad than Barkley right now.
He looked a world beater when initially partnered with Jack but he's been poor since returning for the hamstring injury
He had three good games, was also dreadful in home defeats v Leeds and Southampton pre injury.
-
Trezeguets mind is constantly 10 seconds in front of his body
-
It is us trailing 2-1 right?
-
What’s a melt?
Mediocre Elephant-paced Lumbering Tosser
-
Schmeicel giving it again. Twat.
He just can’t help himself
-
Feels like if we'd have been at it today we'd have beaten these, they've looked vulnerable.
-
Why the fuck is it always a drama when Barkley goes off? Get a sense of perspective you useless clogger!
Yes....spoilt brat or billy big bollocks?
He surely can't have any complaints given his recent performances.
-
It is us trailing 2-1 right?
SMITH SAID TO THEM FORGET THE FIRST HALF SO PLAYERS THINK THEY ARE WINNING 1-0.
-
We really don't like the ball do we?
-
Feels like if we'd have been at it today we'd have beaten these, they've looked vulnerable.
We've been a bit better second half, but you can't give teams like Leicester a head start like that. That starting line up was appalling.
-
This is one of those weird days where none of our players seem able to kick a ball cleanly.
-
Bert isn't hiding his dribbling very well, ball not shielded
-
Ramsey has been excellent since he came on
-
Ramsey has been excellent since he came on
Was just going to post that he looks good for a start next game. The only player with real zip today.
-
5 minutes of Smithy lip-chewing time.
-
What the fuck is McGinn shooting there for?
-
Ramsey has been excellent since he came on
He has. And importantly looks like he gives a shit. I'd rather we played him for the rest of the season, we're not going down and we're not finishing top 6 so I'd rather play him than see Barkley in a Villa shirt ever again.
-
McGinn with yet another snatched effort.
-
Ramsey needs to start next game.
-
Oh fuck off McGinn, two rugby conversion attempts in a row.
-
The bodysnatchers have taken McGinn
-
FFS McGinn.
-
Ramsey looks so much more dynsmic than Barkley...
-
I still think Davis would help massively right now. His holding up play is excellent.

Defo..

He looks a better footballer, like he knows how to operate within a team, something Ross has always struggled with.
Plus he's ours.
-
And yes re Ramsey, really looks the part.
-
How can that not be a booking?
-
Feels like if we'd have been at it today we'd have beaten these, they've looked vulnerable.
They had a hard 90 mins in Prague on Thurs night.
-
Ramsey looks so much more dynsmic than Barkley...
That’s a great word. Dynsmic . So much better than dynamic.
-
I still think Davis would help massively right now. His holding up play is excellent.
;D ;D ;D
-
Fuck.
-
Fucking hell Tyrone!
-
Ramsay for McGinn next game for me. McGinn looks exhausted
-
Nearly snatched a point but, in truth, we didn't deserve it.
-
There was the game.
-
That’s it then. Game over.
-
Wank.
-
Nearly snatched a point but, in truth, we didn't deserve it.
Probably not but at least we didn’t get hammered
-
Not as bad as it could have been
-
Lost before we kicked off simply by playing Barkley again. He did absolutely nothing again.
-
Team that finished was better than the one that started
-
Much improved second half and even better after Barkley subbed
-
In summary, a big bag of wank 1st half. Marginal improvement 2nd.
-
Much improved second half and even better after Barkley subbed
Any chance the silver-lining could be Dean Smith realising that?
-
Where's the post match thread?
-
Poor performance how long can the 3 in the middle of the park keep getting picked? They are all running on empty picked up second half especially with the subs.Against a energetic Leeds side 2 out of 3 must be changed.Positive today Matt Targett was another good performance & our best player.
