EDIT - they now want the Green Team Leader

No Okore again!

Hopefully Veretout can take his opportunity in the 3,and we will be spared the other "options" in the final death march of the season.

Westwood. No. No. No. Why? What is it with our managers and picking him? What a shit bastard waste of a shirt. We lose because we start with 6 or 7 players. Of that line up, I like 3 players-Gueye, Veretout, Ayew.

I'd have played Gestede with Ayew off him. They looked decent together in the week. Gabby can fuck off. Can't him and Westwood pick up some knocks? That's be almost as good as drawing.

Soccer Saturday panel in making salient point about the Villa shock! Not only did they slaughter the players for the stuff coming out about not liking Remi's training methods, they asked how come Remi keeps playing the exact same players who have been continually letting him down. 'Why not play some of the kids,' they chimed. 'They can't do any worse now can they?'

Man City to score within five minutes. It'll be three-nil by the half hour. If we can hold it down to six by full time we'll be smothered in glory.

These are the players who got Villa into this mess, so they should be the ones who suffer the indignity of being on the pitch as relegation approaches. Why play the kids and have them be associated with this debacle

I'd be starting to give some of them a run out, just to see how they do and if they show potential. Not a game like this admittedly where it's likely we'll take a tonking.

Any of the kids who are thought to be able to play a part for us next season should be going out on loan to Championship clubs now to get a taste of the level they're going to play at.

They're employed by Aston Villa. We're all associated with this debacle whether we like it or not. And while I wouldn't want to expose five or six of them to a thrashing or a poisonous VP, like everybody else I'm sick of seeing Guzan, Gabby, Westwood, Bacuna, coming back in/being selected every week...and doing absolutely fuck all. Playing a couple of youngsters and maybe bringing one or two on from the bench would give us all a bit of a lift and give them some experience about the step up they're going to face next season.

Masochist that I am I just looked at the league table and realised that the maximum number of points we can get this season is 46. And if every other side lost every game* the highest we can finish is 6th on GD. As the weeks go by now it's going to get lower and lower until the inevitable.

*Not allowing for sides playing each other and factual things like that. Mainly because even i'm not sad enough to try and work that out.

This is absolutely classic Villa.

Start relatively well, look almost competent for a while, pass the ball around a bit when we can, but never really threaten.

In the next 20 mins or so, maybe just before half time, someone will make a monumental, parks football style mistake, we'll concede, and fall to pieces, losing by three goals at least.

Hi all..!
Just joining in now - found a live stream and it's sooooo quiet there. I don't think there's anyone expecting any sort of excitement...

Bournemouth winning at Newcastle.

The fact that we have taken about 5pts from the last 20 odd, and are no further from safety than we were about 6 weeks ago is what is really annoying about not buying a decent forward.

Is Westwood really on the pitch?  Commentator hasnt mentioned his name yet... not even for his regular sideways stat-pass.

Yeah - definitely saw him pointing earlier. The reason the commentator doesn't mention him is when he gets the ball he does fuck all with it

I put our match on, immediately saw Westwood pointing as the game went on around him, decided I couldn't be arsed with the same old shit, and turned it off again.

My favourite thing so far is the commentator shouting AguerrRRO with absolute confidence that he'll score as he puts it wide.

Can't read his name without hearing Martin Tyler and his Agueruuoooaaaauuuoooo. Beaten only by Gary Neville's Tarzan orgasm when Torres scored in Barcelona.

Richards guaranteed free pints for life in the blue half of Manchester. He really is a shit, clueless defender.

Who's your favourite Spanish team Mark, Real Madrid or the other lot?  What are they called again....oh yes, Barca......!

Athletic Bilbao but I don't mind Barca. No doubt you're a big admirer of Franco's boys.

No tactics,no shape, no passion. Awful. The players don't seem to respect him, don't listen to him. Ah, it's dreadful. This is the worst time of my Villa supporting life.

Garde's rapidly replacing McNeil as the worse manager in living memory. How he kept his job will be discussed by football academics in decades to come

worse than mcneill and with an 11% win rate, couldnt motivate a turd and tactically inept and yet some still think he is the man to manage us next season

I don't know what he thinks he's achieving with this and I know it doesn't mean tuppence to him but I'm finding it incredibly embarrassing right now supporting us and having to watch them keep humiliating our club whilst they all fight their personal battles behind the scenes or whatevers going on.

This just isn't good enough and whatever the circumstances his record is atrocious here. He's had as much effect on the team as a crisp packet floating across the pitch. Completely pointless him being here at the moment.

Whether or not Garde is the right manager at the wrong time or just the wrong manager, I think he'll be fired at the end of the season too. I can see the club wanting a clean sweep. He hasn't been dealt a good hand but he's made a fucking pigs ear of what he has been dealt. It was never going to be easy but he hasn't helped matters either. While holistically he says a lot of the right things in a broader context, you almost think Houllier has been in his ear about man management and how to handle the current situation. The players are fucking shit and the manager isn't helping. We need a fresh start next season.

I'm trying to get my head around how the fucking hell Ashley Westwood has made a career as a professional footballer.

Who'd have thought that Billy MacNeil comes out as Guardiola next to this Gallic plum.

Defoe scores.

Just our luck. At least they have goal scorers

As things stand we have conceded 58 goals in 29 games.  Exactly two per game.  Utterly, desperately, astonishingly bad defending.

and Garde stills sets us up to defend...

had enough of him

And what would you propose with this load of crap for players. We haven't had a proper striker since Benteke and the defence is just incapable.

I agree Garde has to go, but I think it's because most of these players have sh*t all over him.

A new manager will need to start with a clean team sheet and off load all the crap, even if it costs Lerner a shed load of money.

11 from safety as it stands, not that it matters any more.

Bacon and eggs are good, though.

He is truly awful - there was a reason he was playing in League 1 for Crewe. In a nutshell he represents why we're where we are. Not young and hungry - cheap and not good enough

Sunderland winning is good. Heaps more shit on Newcastle, and I want them down with us.

I can only imagine bacuna was bought on to point out how there really isn't anyone better. That or Garde's family were being held by ISIS in the centre circle and he was arranging a hostage swap.
