Shame that Okore hasn't made it, but hope he'll be involved along with the Rock next week. It'll be interesting to see how Hutton and N'Zog get on.

Of course they do, but we can't say he hasn't had any for the last god knows how many seasons. He's been terrible in the finishing department since he came on the scene.

Yes jst waiting for it. Expected it when that monumental wankstain Ireland got in behind us but his delivery was his usual casual maner and we got away with it. You just knew had Baker been playing he'd have crashed the ball in tothe ack of he net for a spectacular own goal.

Once again, there's no plan when we have the ball, no real ideas. It's all on-the-hoof, in many ways.

Have to agree.

Solid at the back, no idea what to do when we have the chance to move forward.
That's your swift counter-attacking football, that is.

Shocking tackle on Craig Charles there.

If we are going to be a defensive, countering side then we should at least be good at defending, which we appear to be. However, we also appear no good at that other thing, the one involving goals.

To be fair, he scored my best ever goal on Pro Evo a couple of years ago, an amazing dipping volley from about 40 yards.

We got absolutely humped against these at VP last season, so already its better.

We were always going to struggle for goals without Benteke or Kozak. We're not doing too badly for a side that still has 4 first teamers out in key positions.

Aly looks good, so I expect he'll get a long term injury against Newcastle.

Solid at the back - although stoke don't seem to know how to mount an attack - but lightweight in the middle and blunt up front.

Gabby should have scored.

Agree we look better defensively - Hutton is an upgrade on Lowton, Senderos is an upgrade on Clark or Baker, and Cissokho is an upgrade on Stevens, Bennett, Tony Moon and Bertrand combined. Can't wait to see Sanchez in midfield. We desperately need Benteke back to complete a decent team

For me, Zoggy and Cissokho were the plus points. Zog has been very positive every time he has the ball.
As usual though, gabby and Wiemann flatter to deceive. Very little involvement, with gabby looking very sluggish, even disinterested.
Bent and Grealish on second half and we can win this.

There is no point in being all doom and gloom as this is where we are at at the moment. For me plus points were the 2 fullbacks looked excellent, both going forward and in defence. Richardson and nzog have both looked sharp and Delph has has a lot of the ball in the middle of the park.
Negatives have been gabby and andi both missing good chances, dodgy distribution from guzan

I'm not particularly positive for this season, but when you think that we're missing (excluding any potential new additional signing) 3 first teamers (if you include Kozak) then we're not doing too bad at all considering the number of new signings (and bomb squad members) that are trying to bed in.

I just saw the goals from the Albion match.

Two things. One, what a belter from that thug Cattermole.

Two, what the fuck is going on with the stripeys' kit? Not stripey.

I thought the same. It really is horrible. Saying that ours looks worse on than I thought. The kind of thing Wet Spam would wear / when they arn't wearing their new horrible kit. Infact haven't seen a decent kit yet this season.

Charlie needs to start passing the ball, he's not managing to get round players and should look for the easier pass instead. It breaks up our play and he gives up the ball too often.

He'd a much better player if he improved his decision making - ie when to give the ball. Albrighton always struck me as the same.
