I trust Unai to get this right.  Your meant to be a dick at 22.

I also think the culture at the club will set him straight.  The expectations are very high and excuses are rarely used.

Hell sink or swim - but I can think of a lot worse things than buying Unai players he wants.

Plus the fact Unai will give him lessons on how to put a baseball cap on straight..

At the same age Rogers had scored 3 top flight goals.
Was going to say, he's just turned 22 this month ... Rogers turned 22 at the end of the season we signed him.  Not a huge difference, and Rogers had way less experience even if you include his ~4 months with us.

I've a good feeling about this one.

It takes a lot of audacity to say that the rest of football can see what one of the most successful and highly-respected coaches in the world can't.

Might be a bit like Villa had their pants pulled down for Rogers.

Who knows he might be right, but as you say Unai is pretty experienced and successful - if someone is going to unlock his potential it’s probably him.

Some thought Tielemans was a big risk, some thought Elliott was going to be a great signing. Unai works his magic on some, others are binned off to Palace after 6 months.  It's all guesswork how a signing will go.

Indeed, there’s nothing definitive on it either way.

Unai finally gets his man. Posted last summer we were in for him - unais been obsessed, a bit like the Felix pursuit as well.

Personally not a fan, but who am I to question the king Unai. If he feels he can be the one to unlock him then fair. He’s got stacks of ability so let’s see

Totally agree PWS. I thought both. Youri bad attitude 18 months prior to joining.
Elliot model pro who was going to blossom at Villa.

On balance Unai has got far more right than wrong

Now it looks likely, I'm going to flip 180 and say he's going to brilliant. But reserve the right to flip back and claim I was right if he's a sulky, selfish, disruptive bell.

That’s a good reminder - it’s a smarter bet than Felix
