That's the game that sticks out in my memory, he tore us to pieces in that 2nd half.

From what I've read (and my research hasn't gone much further than Googling 'Alejandro Garnacho attitude'), he got very grumpy about being left out/subbed at Man United, which basically ruined his relationship with Almorim, but at Chelsea he's been praised for his attitude by all of the managers he's had there.

Having a smirk and a bad haircut doesn't necessarily make you a problem.

There are two reasons I would welcome him - he's always played well against us, from my memory, including last season. And he's fast. Very fast. A weapon that we've lacked for a long time, and that players like Sancho couldn't fall back on.

Our team is evolving - if you think of the players that have left our team, all of them are being replaced by players with more pace. I think we may play a bit more direct from now on.

Interesting point, Boozey.  Pako Ayestaran has also left, hasn't he?  It looks to me like our playing style is evolving.

Yep, I agree with that completely.

We're changing, bringing in younger, more athletic players and yes, pace. This could be an exciting season.

We need pace and he has bags of it. Was a very effective player in his early days at Man Utd, and one of the hottest prospects in world football. Has shown he can perform in the premier league.

The ingredients are there. It will all come down to whether Unai can mould him and tame the twatishness.

He is on £110k at Chelsea, so with Bailey off it doesn't really impact.

Emery, Martinez and Buendia would be big factors on him and improving his professionalism.

This is 100% my view as well. He's only just turned 22 and has played over 100 times in the Premier League - with a decent G/A record alongside that.

It's also true there were no complaints about his attitude in the season at Chelsea - and he's entering a club with a much, much better culture than either of the two he was at previously.

Unai makes all players look better, and if he can improve him to half the level he improved Rogers, with the talent Garnacho has, we could have a match-winner on our hands.

People had the same attitude concerns about Sancho last season, and while quality-wise he wasn't quite at it, there appeared to be no issues with his application and culture fit. So I'm not as worried about that with AG as others.

I guess if conditional obligation is just a fancy way of saying "option" then it is going to be ok. You really do hope we have got it signed off...

If the obligation clause is something like ‘30 goal contributions in the premier league’ then I don’t think many fans will complain when we are obligated to purchase him.

As others have noted, it can’t be basic ‘play 10 times’ or eufa will just class it as a transfer, which it effectively would be.
