No sponsor, no money would have been mine.

signed. I also can't believe that there isn't a single company in the world willing to sponsor us for somewhere in the region of £15-£20m. someone, somewhere, should have had the wherewithal that in this instance, maybe it's better to accept a fraction less, in order to not be morally reprehensible.

Signed. I don’t do social media but I’ve shared the link with people I know.

The fact that the website still shows the old sponsors and not the new shows that this was last minute. I don't think they anticipated how competitive the market would be this summer and have been caught out.

Just check on Flight Scanner and 14 to 16 hours on plane from BHX via 2 or 3 other cities seems the best bit...

Unless you are going to replace £20m p/a with your own contribution can I respectfully ask that you keep your protest to yourself

That’s quite an interesting take, that it’ll cost me £20m to speak out about a close friend being kidnapped and tortured.

I’m sorry/not sorry to keep repeating that, but it is pretty remarkable stuff, and pretty remarkable perfect storm that that regime that did that and continues to do this stuff, have ended up front and centre in our shirt.

Also the figures you are seeing are way way off, as we won’t hit the crazy high shirt sale markers; yet there was nothing else in the table.

Happy to hear you’d take on what you would speak out about yourself, where your moral
Lines are drawn? Obviously we all have different values, morals, red lines.

Some people would happily have Mason Greenwood play for us if it made us a better side.

Can anybody explain the attractiveness of visiting Rwanda?

I think that's the point of the promotion. Sure people said the same about Canary Islands 50 years ago.

Understand there are loads of great hikes and wildlife to see

Would suspect it’s more to publicise for businesses to expand there than getting Villa fans to have their stag doo at Linekers Kigali but who knows :-)

The scenery, wildlife etc are amazing, it's the genocide people have issues with.

I’ve not got off the plane there, been just the other side of the border.
There are plenty who have, even someone on this forum going next week. Like its neighbours, wonderful landscape, creatures, friendly folk, culture, it’s somewhere I’d love to have visited if resources allowed (and hadn’t been warned that I’m at risk due to having publicly fund raised for my friend). They have been very savvy in their tourist marketing as we have noticed compared to neighbours… Sadly the dark side is also prominent.

If you've got both arms and think that, really, you don't actually need both of them, you can visit to have one of them macheted off?

Just to be clear, folks: I'd like to state that this is, in no way, intended as a slur against Rwanda as a nation, or it's people. It's about oppression, and it's...let's be kind....unwitting endorsement for money, by our...yes, our Aston Villa.

Once again, thanks to all who've signed.
