Was a bit preoccupued with our performance in Istanbul and didn't see any Sitzerland games at the World Cup, so what position does he mainly play - number 10 or mote of a number 8?

That was his minutes in the Bundesliga per position.

So basically he doesn’t cross the halfway line?

Ankle tag will blow his leg off if he does.

Could well be Infantino’s next exciting FIFA technological advance, after the Adidas microchipped ball.

Also ~ welcome JM, keep being humble but brilliant.

Like that line from Tanswell’s article said, if we’re prohibited from spending, this one’s a paragon of how to spend what little is in the kitty in the right way.

Mainly a Number 8 apparently, although very good around the box.

Seb Stafford-Bloor's take is that he could still be pretty much anything for us:

Quote
Johan Manzambi has so much talent. He might be a rare example of a young midfielder who is so gifted in so many ways that it's difficult to know exactly what kind of player he will become.

That'll be the fun of it at Villa: watching him specialise and acquire a role.

I said the same when it looked like he was going to Newcastle, but he will need some patience. Freiburg to Villa is a very big step to take and you probably wouldn't say that he had outgrown the Bundesliga, either.

Best piece of advice to fans: don't make any permanent conclusions for the first six months. Let him have some bad games and make some mistakes, and see what he does with that experience.

You have to be fair to players like him. Villa have spent a lot of money, but that's because of the scale of his talent and because the market has made players of his age/profile enormously valuable. It does not reflect the player he will immediately be.

Haha, some fans will write him off after 6 games, never mind 6 months.

Not good enough. I never want to see Manzambi in a Villa shirt again.

Getting in early.

I expected more for the money spent - he hasn’t a single goal or assist for us yet.  :(

With his poor control and inability to stay on his feet, more like Johan Manbambi I say.
