Assuming Emi isn't just making a wild punt, I wonder what the conversations that are happening are that means he knows anything about it?

He's been away with Argentina for over a month, is his agent sending him WhatsApps updating him on the club's transfer strategy? Are the club sending daily emails to all the players keeping them up to date? Is Emi great mates with Xhaka from their Arsenal time and Manzambi's been hitting him up for info about the club?

I’d guess JM probably said something like “See you in Birmingham” or “I’m joining your club”, and that’s what Emi is responding to.
