At least with James out we can enjoy the commentator Quansah/Konsa troubles. I'm sure everything will be Ezri's fault if the shit hits the fan.

Depends if he does challenges that should be a pen or not.

Just be glad it's not a winter World Cup with this game being played in late December.

Not one acknowledgement that if he hadn't made that challenge it would have been a goal, like he just recklessly jumped in the the sake of it.

Come on, if he was a class player like Stone, he would have anticipated Eze losing the ball in a dangerous position and been back on the edge of the box ready to clear the ball from such a slow forward.

Stones wouldn't have simply cleared the ball though, he'd have caressed the ball straight to another England player, to set in play a dangerous breakaway.

One of the biggest issues we have is Pickford. He’s like an excited puppy, more aimless hoofs forward than you can shake a stick at, a
Nervousness on the ball you don’t get with modern quality keepers and a new Neuer like tendency to rush out of his box alongside an indecision if he should do that. Konsa and Guehi must be shaking their heads in disbelief.

Added to that other teams have realised we don’t seem to have a winger who can beat a man so are happy to clog up the centre of the pitch knowing their full backs can handle the one on ones outside.

But having said all that we’re through to the last 32 will probably beat Dr Congo and then against Mexico at altitude is anyone’s guess. I still think we’re very susceptible to teams who can quick transition (both Ghana and Panama proved that) so if we make it to the semi we’ll in all likelihood get crucified by Argentina.

I'd just concentrate on the next match. It's looks tricky to me.

Didn't notice so much last night (I'd been out all day, game was a slight blur) but Pickford, whilst not being terrible, has looked a bit iffy at times.

There was one point where Pickford dropped what seemed to be an easy ball in where he had two hands on it and it either rolled out for a corner or was cleared out by the defender for one. He then turned and berated the players for allowing the ball in, which in turn had the commentators talking about the defence allowing the ball in rather then the keeper fluffing the ball.
