Fixtures released at 10am on Friday.  I'm pretty sure our first game will be away given the North Stand redevelopment.

North Stand is closed for the season. I'll be quite upset if they don't let us have a home game until it's ready...

You can't tell me they've just randomly pulled out Sunderland away. Are they serious?

I would expect that as we finished fourth in the league we'll be given an easy home game as that seems to be the general rule.

We never seem to get Brighton in the warm months.

In fairness, the warm months in the UK is basically May and August.
We were down there the day the Blues got relegated about 3 years ago as I remember listening to it on the drive down. Saturday in early May - was glorious including cocktails and beers in a beach bar that afternoon - then match day on the Sunday was about 10 degrees and pissing down. And we lost.
FWIW I’m going Ipswich away - same as the launch of the premier league

The probabilities of that happening are astronomical. If it does, the only possible explanation is that there’s a shady cartel pulling strings behind the scenes.

I bet they fix it so Small Heath don't even have to play any top flight teams, again.

Man United or City as our last away game for a change

Avoid Bournemouth, Chelsea, Palace, Fulham, Liverpool, Man City (dreaded new manager bounce).
We don't want any of the newly promoted sides first day.
Brentford, Man U, Spurs will just carry on where they left off with their strong end of season finishes.
I expect Sunderland to start strongly again and Newcastle will be much improved from the very beginning.
Everton are on the up and Forest are now settled with no distractions. The same can be said for Brighton and Leeds.
That leaves Arsenal.
