This reminds me a bit of the Red Star v Marseille European Cup Final in 1991 - Red Star spoiled for 120 minutes because they knew they could win on penalties.
That was such a dreadful game!

It's getting to the stage I almost want to see clips of celebrities, in particular Trump et al.

Messi will be approaching forty by the time this crapfest is finished. Can't they make last nights bonkers game the real final?

Simeone on now so they're really going to kick more lumps out of Spain.

Has a side in a previous WC final or any major final ever given less than Argentina have today?

The Argentina 1990 crew would've pushed this mob pretty close.

Definitely, shades of some of the bore fest finals of the past.  1990 and 94 come to mind.

It's easy to criticise Argentina, but it's tough to play attacking football against this Spanish side with the way they smother you.

Messi and Yamal done nothing. And the atmosphere is like the Crucible when Steve Davis was playing.

Argentina in 1990.

Yes, and Netherlands in 2010 and Villa in 2000 also spring to mind ...

Argentina are playing as defensively as England did against them.
Only Argentina are competent
