So disgusted am I that I haven’t even eaten my Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer. And that takes some doing.

Weird. Clever people have told me for ages that Southgate was the problem, and that a Proper Manager who made Proper Substitutions at the Proper Time was the missing piece of the puzzle.

Well it’s not necessarily wrong. Tuchel just lost his mind on this one.
And Southgate didn’t just lose his mind when in similar scenarios?

The most frustrating thing is that we could have won that game if we tried. Most of us would have expected us to lose against Spain anyway but that was on.

Haven’t been reading the thread. Did anyone suggest putting Ollie to run round a bit?

Yep, a couple of us. It was incredibly obvious.

I thought the big issue we had all tournament is our central midfield struggled to influence the game enough - maybe that just watching too much of how Villa play and how the midfield control games - but rice in particular struggled to influence it and some extra legs there could of helped.

Sitting deep is fine if you have players who can play under that pressure.  And take the ball with there back to play but we didn’t.

I don’t see what good sacking Tuchel is - my view is we don’t really have y the balance in our players to make a team - too sparse in everywhere other than forwards.

Also a lack of leadership in the team - don’t think there are enough players who remain calm and focused when it really matters

That's going to haunt Tuchel for the rest of his days.

It quite clearly is wrong, as the next person that they were so excited about being different and better has done exactly the same thing to reach more or less the same result.
Look at the bench, he had so much opportunity to try to control the game but surrendered with the inevitable consequence.

Having witnessed Micah Richards' Villa career, I never, ever want to hear him conducting a post mortem on a disappointing loss.

That still seems to be valid TBF, just put Tuchel at the helm. That was an absolutely shocking example of how not to manage a game. When you’re sat at home being utterly bewildered by the subs, I think everyone knew what was going to happen.

Did anyone see who Rogers was getting involved with at the end there?

Looked like Lautaro Martinez I think?

Absolutely gutted for the fans, they deserved better than that.
